J Street has been a breath of fresh air when it comes to Israel's relations with the US and the middle east. I helped them prepare for their conference doing menial tasks, however it gave me an insight into how hard everyone there works and how passionate they are about making clear J Street's goals to the public. I was impressed by the speaker diversity and notoriety they secured for the conference, as well as the high attendance and all with a limited staff. I followed the conference via streaming coverage on the web. The conference gave a feeling of hope about the future of the middle east after seeing J Street's solidarity with President Obama's views in that region. J Street is mobilizing the public, giving us a megaphone so we can compete with the conservative Israel lobby that has too long controlled policy on Capitol Hill.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Substantially help diffuse tensions between Israel and its neighbors by pushing a pro peace approach so that it is becomes a common goal in America

I support Jewish values that teach us to love the stranger and oppose oppression. The security and strength of Israel is tied to the well-being and healing of Palestine, and I am delighted to support an organization that recognizes this interconnection. J Street, in its promotion of peace, justice and a two state solution to the conflict, is such an organization.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The success of their recent Washington DC conference.

The constant state of bloody conflict hurts Israel and tugs at the heart of every Jew. J Street has a sensible position on achieving peace while preserving Israel as a democratic Jewish state. The time is now.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

educating the public about Israel's current circumstances and prospects for the future, as well as educating the public about the effects of US foreign policy on Israel.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

its spokespeople are articulate, balanced and respectful of those who hold different views. Given that discussing differing views about Israel within the Jewish community is extremely sensitive, this is a huge contribution to our community.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

across the spectrum from the founder, Jeremy BenAmi, to line staff assisting members in taking action.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help many more American Jews have the dialog we must have in order to support peace and security for Israel at the same time as we grow in understanding of each other and of the varieties of what it means to be an American Jew.

Israel needs peace for security, and J Street offers a way forward. Security for Israel is security for the U.S; peace for Israel is the only path to real security. J Street has the right approach. I read J Street news a lot, and forward it to many friends and family--because they are doing very good, promising work.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

that I think it offers REAL HOPE and wise ideas for PEACE for the Middle East. I really, really hope their efforts work.

As an Israeli, I stand with J Street because I don't want my grandchildren to have to go to war to protect Israel. The best form of security for my country is a peace agreement.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

giving me hope that we can end the cycle of wars which are destroying Israel.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

help it grow faster!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

my feeling that it is growing and becoming stronger.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very very smart, and share my values.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

counteract the belligerent voices in Congress.

Ways to make it better...

even more people had come to the conference in Washington.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

lies people spread about it.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I really pray this organization will succeed!

"I stand with J Street because J Street is an oasis of just, compassionate, reasonable, practical, and fact-based advocacy for a Middle East peace solution. With a level-headed tone and a positive message that respects the rights of both Palestinians and Israelis, J Street is a decidedly affirmative force in international affairs, a voice of post-sectarian light and reason among lobbyists. J Street deserves the overwhelming support of the American people."

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Educate even more Americans about Palestine/Israel.

"I stand with J Street because they take a reasonable position to help address Mideast tensions and look for peaceful resolutions to the conflicts in that part of the world."

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

They do present their plans in a reasonable manner.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Make more of a positive impact in the Middle East
