I attended one of the workshops presented by Bubbles The Clown (aka David Felzenberg) at a community event in Baltimore, MD. My overall impression was very positive. From my perspective, the kids were involved in the financial literacy program that Bubbles presented. He didn't just stand in front of the kids and lecture them about money. He didn't talk over their heads. He spoke to them at their level (kids 3 - 9 years old), but didn't talk down to the kids. The kids responded to his questions. It is an interactive program, and the kids appeared to have absorbed the main theme: to save money.

I have a background in early childhood education, and I occasionally advise Mr. Felzenberg about ways that I think the program can be improved by giving constructive criticism.

From what I have observed, the program is very good. I think it would be useful to raise funds in a concerted effort. I understand that the organization is working towards that goal.

The Financial Literacy Program has become a very valuable tool to help children learn about how money works. It is quite interesting and entertaining and very unique. I am pleased to have experienced the program with a room full of children. It was fun for them, and I will bet that they learned a lot, even if they thought is was just a great show!
