Robin discovered the cattle problem while studying for his masters degree in Animal Science at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Israeli ranchers had cattle that did not fit the semi desert environment which lead to high losses and costs. Together with other Ph.d and MS.c students they decided that the best cattle to bring to both Israel and East Africa to solve this problem was the distant relative of both the Middle East and Africa's domestic cattle the Texas Longhorn. Texas Longhorn can be breed to the domestic cattle passing on their desert genetics to the domestic cattle improving their adaptability to the harsh semi desert environment of Israel and East Africa. The massive die off of livestock in East Africa make this project and Agriculture Emergency project very positive.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have been aware of Robin and his goals for over 10 years.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Locate a funding source for their good ideas.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their love and dedication to the Hebrew people and their desire to assist in an improved production of healthy beef.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

All communication has been phone and email

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

More than fund a wonderful project to help Israel to be self sufficient in producing their own beef product while at the same time remove brush by cattle grazing.

Ways to make it better...

Funding was available.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Only funding.

One thing I'd also say is that...

You will not believe the dedication Robin has to this project and confidence in it's success when developed. And so do I.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

One time

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010
