I met Ms. Densmore at a conference. Her passion and commitment to her cause were so infectious I agree to provide pro bono assistance to her organization. Her emphasis on individualized care, adherence to the highest of professional standards, and commitment to integration of state-of-the art therapies makes Iraq Rose stand out head and shoulders among the the dozens of non-profits I have worked with in my career.

Iraq Rose is doing a wonderful service for Veterans. She's offering natural therapies that really work, something not easy to find in world. For example, she offers Alpha-Stim treatments, which I have found to be amazingly helpful at reducing stress and PTSD. It also reduces craving for addictive drugs. It also relieves pain. The treatment is not well known, yet, but is being used in the military and the VA. Martha is a wonderfully compassionate healer, and the vets are lucky she does what does. Her work greatly deserves support

First, as a current student in a Master's Degree Program for Acupuncture & Holistic Medicine, my involvement since 2009 has been to study and observe treatment strategies used in the Iraq Rose clinic. I have witnessed first hand the positive results being reported directly to the Iraq Rose clinicians by the Veteran patients. Examples of the reported results include better sleep, less chronic discomfort and pain, and a more optimistic outlook for their personal and professional lives. Veterans continue to return for follow up sessions, and my personal opinion through observation is that they all appear “glad to be there” when they arrive, and “calm and grateful” when they leave. While the benefits of this type of care are delivered one treatment, one Veteran at a time, there is no doubt in my mind that these benefits then extend into families, workplace, and entire communities. Second, Iraq Rose's mission both educates the public on the merits of a whole-life, whole-body approach to Veteran healthcare, and delivers these services individually. With 20 years of prior business experience providing my perspective, I feel this approach demonstrates a well-balanced, justifiable business model that can show immediate results with minimal to non-invasive care. And in these challenging economic times, it means greater efficiency and more value for every dollar Iraq Rose receives and spends on delivering its services. Last but not least, when Iraq Rose clinicians teach some simple techniques such as breathing with movement, or meditation and nutrition, Iraq Rose is providing their Veterans with the most important services of all: a path to understanding and empowering their own unique healing needs, and tools they can use anytime, anywhere, and forever.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The caring and individualized treatments for each unique person using natural and non-invasive methods. Every patient I've observed has reported continued improvements in their health and their sense of well-being.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Genuinely touched by the challenges of Veteran health care, and motivated to make a difference.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Expand its services and educate through outreach in hopes that every Veteran who needs these services can access it. Iraq Rose stands out in their perspective that each treatment needs to be customized to the individual to give the best results possible.
