Ipswich Equine Rescue Corp and its founder Kathleen Hofferty have dedicated their lives to make a positive difference in the journey of helping horses, animals and childrens lives. They are true proffessionals, knowledgable, experienced, educated whom always have put the horses first. Kathleen has worked as a nurse, taken in boarders to pay the bills on all of the over 5000 horses , IER has rescued since 1994 as a legitamate reg. non profit.Kathleen exemplifies compassion, love and caring to any animal that has shown a need whether saved from slaughter, neglected, abused or improperly handled or cared for, they do the best for the horses. It todays society running a horse rescue is very difficult because of our terrible economy.Folks just cant afford to make donations anymore.Kathleen pulls through for the animals know matter what and has always put the horses first.This is a wonderful small equine rescue that deserves alot of credit for their pioneering spirit, creating media attention and public awareness regarding the atrocities of the drug called " PREMARIN", which Kathleen brought into the international public eye, alerting horselovers and women all over the world about the horrific conditions of "THE PEE HORSE INDUSTRY" Thank You IER and Kathleen for all that you do for women and animals .

I must admit I got a real good laugh at some of these ridiculous comments.My EX is certainly up to the usual no good, Let's try to ruin my EX wife's life because she left me.Well whomever reads this will truly be aware that Ipswich Equine Rescue and it's founder(President) is doing fine.Thanks 4 the chuckle.

We have worked with Ms.Hofferty and her nonprofit equine rescue group,'Ipswich Equine Rescue Corp' for several years.We are proud to say that,"Ipswich Equine Rescue" has been our grant recipient many years mainly due to the exemplary care,compassion,education,prevention of cruelty to animals,winner of horsefarm of distinction.Hofferty has been at the forefront of horse rescuing since the early 90's late 80's.She personifies love,compassion,care and always putting the horse first before her needs.I Congradulate Ipswich Equine Rescue and Ms.Hofferty with another annual grant award.

In this era of difficult economic travesty If it were ever possble to increase our grant amounts,If left up to me I would personally award Ms.Hofferty substantially mor mnies to assist her in her big hearted kind rescue endeavors.

I have known Kathleen Hofferty for over 30 years.She is an incredible,professional human being that totally amazes me still.She is a tremendous leader and animal rights advocate and equine activist.Kathleen does not except the word " NO"She was at her most successful in her home state of Massachusetts.She got a divorce and against my BFF advise went to conquer (Pro Slaughter Texas)She actually suceeded in assisting in closing the 2 illegally run slaughterhouses in TX.PPlease come home soon Kat.We miss and love you.?

love,professionalism,caring,proper business ethics,extreme knowledge applied to all horses,100 percent success rate in traing,teaching and adoption process,kathleen is a 1 man show with tons of experience without kathleen no equine rescue would survive

i disagree with the negative statements previously mentioned about kathleen.Kathleen is a great knowlegable horse rescuer and an angel of all animals.She does not drink or abuse her outstanding position as a nurse or as a horse rescuer.These allegations are unfounded.Sounds like a bunch of jealous women.

I agree with previous experiences related here. K.H. has a drinking problem and the horses well being is not her primary concern. I worked as a volunteer at IER in Ipswich, Massachusetts, 1999-2000, and left hurt and disappointed-- and a few thousand dollars poorer.
