My name is Shenhav and I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Cell Biology Department at Harvard Medical School. I cherish the opportunity to be a member of the warm and caring family, ISEF, which has been supporting my family and me since we moved to Boston from Israel three years ago. Thanks to the financial aid I have been receiving from ISEF I can reach my scientific goals, gain a valuable scientific experience and maintain a healthy family/work life. I hope to one day help others, as you have helped me.

My name is Haim Machluf and I am a doctoral student at Harvard Law Schoo. I have been an ISEF scholar for the past 4 years, and I believe that it would have been much more difficult for me to be able to continue and succeed in my studies without the help and support from ISEF. ISEF is like a family to many scholars abroad, including myself, and we highly appreciate ISEF's support and contribution to us and to Israel.

Dear friends: Let me please introduce myself: my name is Itay Miyara, currently I am living in College Station, Texas. I was born, grown and graduated in Israel, and during these days I'm completing my first year as a Postdoctoral, acquiring training in the TEXAS A&M University at Molecular microbiology fields in Agricultural aspects, specializing in Molecular plant microbe interaction. Conducting research in that field, in one of the world’s leading groups of plant disease development provides an excellent opportunity to study and teach in the near future in this important field in Israel. The ISEF Foundation, by providing a higher education fellowship for Israel’s people from every background, provides me with an equal opportunity to develop my potential and to utilize my skills and implement my future career as a researcher. I am convinced that by allowing me to acquire the knowledge which I am exposed during my Postdoc training I am endowed with a wonderful opportunity to bring back to Israel’s scientific community lots of knowledge and experience which I'm gaining right now. The ISEF award was more than a scholarship. For me it is the feeling that there is a home which you belong and take care after you. Indeed ISEF gave me the opportunity to complete my personal targets and to focus only in research. They are giving the feeling that you do not need to worry, they always will be there for you. I believe that once I establish myself in the academic society, I will enlist to serve ISEF’s world-view and help others student from underserved communities to achieve their dreams as well. For me ISEF gave me a lot of confidence to be able to make my dream come true and for that I will be grateful all of my life! . Kind regard Itay Miyara. Ph.D.
