International Disaster Volunteers (IDV)
Rating: 4.88 stars 8 reviews
Location: 11 Crowther Street Bristol BS3 3AJ United Kingdom
Results: Since 2010, we've helped more than 4,500 disaster survivors in Haiti and the Philippines rebuild their lives. We're now responding to Super Typhoon Haiyan. To date, we've helped more than 600 survivors access medical care, re-opened Tacloban's only school for developmentally disabled children, helped build the first permanent home in the wake of Haiyan and launched a programme offering school meals to help kids get back to school. We intend to build hundreds of homes, invest in livelihoods, and a great deal more - but first we need both volunteers and funding.
