Interfaithfamily.com is an amazing resource! In my work with interfaith couples, it is great to direct people to this website. The web magazine provides support and education about life cycle events, holidays, relationships, spirituality and more. There are articles, discussion borads and blogs, clergy referrals, and in-depth resource pages. The website lists welcoming organizations and programs, nationally and locally. The InterfaithFamily.com Network also advocates for inclusive attitudes, policies and practices. When couples find this website, they discover a welcoming, engaging community that reflects their journey and encourages communication. They realize they are not alone and have found a great connection.
The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
my work counseling interfaith couples. Some have written articles for the webzine, others have used the clergy referral service. Most benefit from articles written by individuals in an interfaith family and professionals. The resource pages--invaluable.

I found interfaithfamily.com when I was planning my interfaith wedding 8 years ago. The content was so helpful and I sent several articles to my in-laws to help them learn more, as well. Since then, I have found interfaithfamily.com to be a valuable resource for all things interfaith. I consulted the website for how-tos & useful information on baby namings (3), holidays, and shabbat, among others. It's my go-to resource for all things Jewish in our life. I appreciate & value the work they do so much. It has really been invaluable to me over the past nine years.

I have been working within the Jewish Community Non-profit world and have had the need for a site which we can refer to during complex situations with reference to interfaith relationships. This site has been most helpful to me , and as a result to others to whom I have recommended it. One engaged couple was having difficulties relating to their parents, who did not readily accept their decision to marry. Interfaithfaily.com offered much support, and material for discussion, and then were able to provide a rabbi to perform the ceremony. I support this web site and thank them for helping us, and inturn others, through challenging times. It is a well run organization. Jewel S. Smith

Interfaith Family, more than any other Jewish non-profit I have run across, understands interfaith family issues and offers meaningful support to interfaith couples, their children, and extended family members. They recognize the unique needs of adults raised in interfaith households. It is very rare to find a group both welcoming and understanding of the "half-Jewish" demographic. This is a truly outstanding organization. My specific experience includes being invited to write about growing up in an interfaith family, and finding the words "half-Jewish" and "growing up in an interfaith family" mentioned in IFF discussions and articles. They include discussions of interracial family dynamics as well. I've received a lot of emotional support and encouragement. One of the editors even mailed me a book she thought I would be interested in. I hope they continue to recognize, learn about, and provide support to people like myself who come from interfaith homes, as our issues tend to be very different from those of our parents (the interfaith couples.)

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Hopefully organize support groups or educational programs tailored to the needs of adult children of intermarriage.
Ways to make it better...
More were being done to show that children of interfaith marriage are - or can be - considered Jewish and welcomed into Jewish life if that is their choice.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Like all such organizations, lack of adequate funding is probably their biggest hurdle.

IFF is a fantastic, mission-driven organization that I have been happy to support for more than 6 years. They care deeply about the future of Judaism and work hard to make it a religion that is accessible and welcoming to all. Their articles are great, rabbi referral service is awesome. I'm a big fan!
