Working with IDEAS is a positive, inspiring and enjoyable experience for both the teaching personnel and the participants. As an IDEAS instructor, time and time again I have witnessed participants'creativity and openness increase, their respect and understanding improve and their sense of accomplishment and pride blossom. As a teaching artist on the roster of IDEAS facilitators, I have found the working atmosphere to be supportive, creative and respectful, while also demanding excellence, professionalism and commitment.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the eyes and hearts of youth in schools, community organizations, and special groups.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

give myself a raise. (joking !)

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the practiced and detailed curriculum which allows you to both create further and rely on tried and true drama foundations.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

capable, talented, friendly and supportive. Lisa Dennett is a tireless, dedicated, knowledgable and giving leader who has always maintained an organization which operates with quality, rigor and warmth.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

further develop programs, provide programs for organizations that cannot pay, offer a more strongly tiered pay and merit structure for artists to work within, and give myself that much needed raise ! (joking on the last one...)

Ways to make it better...

there were slightly more autonomy allowed teaching artists.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

competing with larger organizations for funding and work and the challenging and difficult aspects of working with special needs populations.
