I have served as a consultant to Dr. Boaz in my role as the Director of the Longwood University Small Business Development Center in the creation of the Integrative Centers for Science and Medicine.

I find Dr. Boaz to be well experienced in this endeavor and extremely well focused and
organized in how to go about the creation of the Center. He has obviously taken the time to think through the most minute details of each step, and has been a great spokesperson for the ICSM by always taking the time to explain the Center's significance to all interested parties.

The Center will address a critical need in the Medical profession by specializing in family medicine and will eliminate the need for so many aspiring physicians to have to go outside of the country to attend a qualified medical school. In addition, I feel the Center will have a very positive impact on the economic environment of our community.

This is a brilliant idea and undertaking. Having the medical school in this area will go far toward restoring financial and medical health to this part of Virginia. It will bring people from all over the country.

Dr. Boaz has put together a group of projects that are focused on bettering the lives of Native American Students who wish to pursue a career in the Health Sciences. His untiring effort to get the program off the ground has helped others better understand the problems that are being faced by the Native population who as a group have received the poorest and least health care if any group in the US.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my interactions with Dr. Boaz and his interactions with students, other scientists and other potential grant participants.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Get it more funding!!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the creativity of its founder Dr. Noel Boaz. He has many ideas that are designed to expand basic knowledge as well as increase the opportunity of Native American Students being able to pursue a career in the Health Sciences.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very competent and knowledgeable in their fields, be in geology, anthropology, archeology, or medicine.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Begin a medical school for Native American Students and other indigenous populations whose health care is very deficient. IT would use very innovative approaches to the education of these groups that would encourage them to return to serve their people.

Ways to make it better...

If the money existed to get the programs Dr. Boaz has proposed we would by now be educating a new group of health care providers with the knowledge, skill and attitudes to provide care for their own people whether in the US or internationally.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Raising adequate capital to provide the venue to undertake the vision of its leader.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Dr. Boaz and other members of the board of the Integrative Centers for Science and Medicine have unique backgrounds that would allow them to provide the education needed by those indigenous students to return and serve their communities.

I have been involved with ICSM as a volunteer, and have seen 1st hand the projects and long-range plans of the Center that are very exciting. Education seems to be a main focus of all activities, present and future, and I'm happy to continue voluteering in any capacity I can for this organization.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

...the organizational efforts to get T-shirts printed in order to inspire education about the history of man and evolution. I have seen that education is of paramount importance to this group.

The Hands On Human Evolution Program was a great success at the Ashland, Oregon's museum. We worked on creating a "road show" to get this program out as a mobile work shop so kids can experience the thrill of participating in exercises that test their math skills while examining casts of human skulls and bones, of ape skulls and bones, and of hominid fossils.

The Great!

A first rate organisation. Knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated to the exploration and understanding of Libyan archaeology. I admire the energy and enthusiasm with which director, Noel Boaz, has overcome many challenges to make new discoveries and bring those discoveries to the attention of peers and the wider public.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

A project to explore the possibility of re-mounting and re-display of a Stegotetrabelodon fossil in Tripoli and a plan to improve the display of national specimens in the Libyan national collections and bring them to the attention of the world.
