This Institute (IBE) has an extraordinarily important role to play in educating the public about the critical role that buildings have in human health. IBE is the only place I know of where all the information concerning creating health supporting buildings is collected for the public. I became concerned about the indoor environment in 1987 when both wife and I were made environmentally ill by our home and work environments. I found out about IBE in 1988 through a magazine ad. IBE was the answer to my prayers. If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Find more funding so the more of the public could be educated.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
IBE give everyone involve the chance to change the world one building at a time
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
highly motivated people concerned about others and the planet and willing to do the work required to increase recognition of the Institute's role in educating the public.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Deeply affect the way buildings are constructed so that they are more health- supporting. Significantly affect the way products are built so the the materials used and the effects produced are biologically compatible with people.
Ways to make it better...
Ther could be no better experience
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Acquiring funding to increase outreach to the public and to increase involvement with standard setting bodies that can affect the way we construct our buildings
One thing I'd also say is that...
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every week
