My schedule finally allowed me to volunteer at an IOH retreat, and I can't wait until I can volunteer again! Yes I was busy during the retreat, but just seeing how kind and caring all the other volunteers were and how great of a time the families were having made it all worth it. Just being able to give these families a fun, stress free vacation to create memories is awesome! It is defentitely working through this incredible ministry!

Volunteering for Inheritance of Hope is one of the most meaningful and joyful experiences I have had in my life. I have also run for Team IOH, which is yet another great way to get involved with this incredible organization.

This is an amazing organization that does not do something unless it can do it 110%. They take a difficult situation and make it manageable. They provide families with a parent that has a life threatening illness will resources, time, memories, and a new support community. What a legacy!

IOH is a blessing from the Heavens above!! I was invited as a family memeber in Jan 2010, and I thought that was great, BUT let me tell you as a volunteer it was probably one of the most rewarding things I have done in my Life. I see all the love for these families, and the volunteers are there because we want to be!! I knew I was going to have a great time but it was above and beyond.
I met some very loving people and to see all the families smiling and having a great time was priceless!! I am looking forward to the Next retreat... and God is so Good......

Inheritance of Hope is such a blessing! I have loved getting to serve on their last two retreats.
To be honest, I think I like coming back as a volunteer better than being a family member (though that was awesome too!). I have found so much joy in giving back. I was talking to a woman from my church about this last week and she was saying that I feel this way because I'm doing the thing God's created us to do... to serve. I couldn't agree more. :)
IOH is such an amazing organization! Every time I leave a Legacy Retreat, I feel like I've left a big part of myself behind. I can't wait for the next retreat!

My family went on a retreat with inheritance of Hope a few years ago and we absolutely loved it! We met so many wonderful people and grew closer as a family too. Oh! And had lots of fun at Disney World. :) I love IOH so much. I'll be volunteering for their next trip coming in November. I am beyond excited! :) Inheritance of Hope is such a blessing!

I have volunteered at the IOH Legacy Retreats three times now and expect to continue doing so for as long as I am able and/or they need volunteers. I was a little apprehensive when attending the first retreat, just last year, but after meeting other dedicated volunteers and staff, I fell right into place. The preparation for these retreats leaves no detail unaddressed. Attending subsequent retreats is like a family reunion. It is also a testimony to IOH when families served at prior retreats have family members returning to volunteer. It is so rewarding to see the families served smiling, laughing, bonding, kids playing, and creating lasting memories. Truly a life changing experience for all who participate and one that cannot fully be described unless you are there.

I have been serving families with Inheritance of Hope for 2 years and I am so very thankful! The members of this organization, from volunteers to staff to board members, work incredibly hard to help families with young children and a parent facing a terminal illness to be encouraged and enjoy wonderful memories together. Inheritance of Hope uses its resources responsibly and truly maximizes every donation. It is wonderful to witness families attending an Inheritance of Hope Legacy Retreat forget about their illness for awhile, and enjoy the blessing of a family getaway.

I have felt very blessed to be part of Inheritance of Hope; the organization is a delight to work with. The Legacy Retreats support and supply families that are facing a very difficult time with a bit of respite and relief. Every detail is take care of; each family can enjoy time together making precious memories without the hassle of planning all the logistics of a getaway or the burden of cost. The opportunity to spend time with other families traveling similar paths is enriching and encouraging.
The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I was inspired by Inheritance of Hope from the moment I first learned of their mission. After attending two Legacy Retreats I am impressed by the impact such intentional care and concern can have on a family.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would be thrilled to see more families experience a Legacy Retreat.
Serving with Inheritance of Hope has been a life changing opportunity. Every family that attends one of the retreats is blessed by heart felt service from volunteers who want nothing more than to cater to their every need be it physical, emotional, or spiritual. Families, especially the children, bond immediately as they have finally found others who really understand the struggles they are experiencing. I love to see the transformations of families as they leave the retreats with life lasting memories and a renewed sense of hope.
