I had the opportunity to sit in on the closing service of the Orlando Legacy Retreat on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Awesome and powerful! Prayerfully seeking God's heart for His plan on further supporting and participating with IOH both personally and through my church. One of the take-aways from Tuesday was the simple, clear, need and opportunity for families to build lasting, God-honoring legacies. I believe we each have a role if we choose to accept it.

Blessed… One of many words that I could use to describe what IOH means to my family. The smile my daughter had the whole time there is priceless in my mind and I will visualize all the time. The staff and volunteers with IOH are truly amazing. I know in my heart that God is everything and does everything for a reason. This legacy retreat was a huge blessing. When you have so many fears and questions about our children when we are given a trail like fighting cancer it is over whelming. This retreat bought lots of smiles, laughter, tears and endless hugs. My family and I will forever be thankful for the opportunity of being a part of IOH. Thanks to God!! God bless

Inheritance of Hope is such a blessing! I have loved getting to serve on their last two retreats.
To be honest, I think I like coming back as a volunteer better than being a family member (though that was awesome too!). I have found so much joy in giving back. I was talking to a woman from
my church about this last week and she was saying that I feel this way because I'm doing the thing God's created us to do... to serve. I couldn't agree more. :)
IOH is such an amazing organization! Every time I leave a Legacy Retreat, I feel like I've left a big part of myself behind. I can't wait for the next retreat!

Wow! That was truly a "dream vacation"! The staff and volunteers were all angels, the service at the hotel was amazing, and the things we learned about "intentional living" were priceless! Cancer, leukemia, and any other life-threatening illness are scary things to deal with.... both for the parents and the kids, but, truth be told, we are ALL going to die someday. Accidents happen every day and we should be trying to live every single day as fully as we can...especially when it comes to our kids. They are our real legacy. You can tell that everybody at IOH truly believes this and cares about every single family that comes through their retreats. I can't say enough good things...I can only say that I plan to go back, next time as a volunteer, to continue the good works and share the love that God is doing through this phenomenal group of people. Thank you!

I'm in my 2nd year of working as a counselor with this wonderful organization. I can't say enough positive things about how careful Inheritance of Hope is to use its funds wisely. This group helps both traditional and nontraditional families. Parents and kids who are hurting feel loved and understood while having a BLAST making precious memories.

IOH is a non-profit which impacts the lives of adults and children who are going through difficult times. The energy and focus of IOH is on the families they serve. Not only do they go the extra mile they go the extra 25 miles to assist the families who theyy are targeted to serve.

I had a wonderful time in NY CITY. at FIRST I DID not think my family fit in because of divorce, but my exwife and I got together for our young son and it was a wise decision as we really enjoyed our trip.We had a cx flight home on Thanksgiving day which had,of course nothing to do with IH, which made for a long long day, however it was still worth every minuite of the trip. It was in everyway FIRST CLASS.My thanks to all the wonderful people who made this possible.

There are not enough positive words to describe this amazing organization. From the moment we were contacted about the opportunity to experience their incredible generosity to the moment we parted ways, our family was made to feel like honored guests. They provided our family with an experience we could have never provided for ourselves! I have never been a part of any effort that is so thoughtful and service focused. With new relationships formed with other families and volunteers, we feel as though our family circle has been enlarged farther than we could have ever imagined.

If there were ever examples of true Christians, the people who serve in this organization are it. All of the efforts from the volunteers in this organization were constantly giving and caring. IOH made it possible for my family to be able to have a vacation together for perhaps the last time. There were group meetings and counseling sessions as expected but much free time as well in addition to well thought out and planned activities including child care. We came from across the country but felt like we belonged right away. It was great to talk to others in similar health situations and also to make new friends. Five stars is not enough merit that IOH deserves. Thankfully, much greater rewards will be theirs in heaven.

When the opportunity came up to attend the IOH NYC retreat in November I was very hesitant. I had mixed feelings about attending because I felt that our family didn't fit into the "typical family" category. From the moment we got off the plane in NY we were surrounded by the most loving and compassionate group of people that I have ever known. Someone was always there to help if needed and they did everything possible to make the retreat a relaxing and enjoyable experience (and loads of fun) !! The organization and all who are a part of it are true examples of God's love.
