In-Sync Exotics not only changes the lives of the big cats that have come to call this place home, it also changes the lives of the volunteers. In most cases, In-Sync has rescued these big cats from horrific conditions and situations, and having the opportunity as a volunteer to help make a difference in their lives is priceless. The health, happiness, and safety of these amazing animals is put above all else, and the exceptional care that is given to each and every cat is heart warming.

In-Sync Exotics is an amazing organization doing extraordinary work. They are not only dedicated to saving the lives of neglected and abused exotic felines, but they are also focused on educating the public. Each and every cat is given a safe home and endless amounts of love! Vicky and the rest of the board members and volunteers have truly opened their hearts to provide the best for these magnificent and beautiful animals.

Went to visit In-Sync with my daughter and 2 small grand kiddo's almost 2 years ago - Let's just say they had me from day one. In-Sync is an incredible magical place, it is a place of love and care, the animals here are top priority and their needs will be met whether it be nourishment, enrichment or medical they receive all that is needed to continue a protected and happy life. This is what In-Sync and their founder Vicki is all about, providing a special haven for those that were at the end of their road for hope or home, there are not many options available to what is considered your not so average adoptable creature - Vicki, staff, volunteer's, contributors and visitors make this all possible. I've always been a big cat fan, even since childhood, big cat pajama's, big cat art, nicnaks, and this and that, etc, etc. The most wonderful feeling after a day of volunteering for these big beautiful cats is, WOW, this is one of the most awesome opportunities in my entire lifetime - Those big cats sure do make my day, they are like sunshine - they are the most awesome furry friends to ever to be blessed with.

I heard about In-Sync about a year and half ago and finally got to go there back in June with my daughter and two small grand kids. It was amazing, the grand kids are ages 1 and 4, they were captivated and in awe of everything around them at In-Sync, their attention was focused on the beauty of all the cats and the four year old had question after question. He latched on to a volunteer, I don't think she got a moments peace with all he wanted to know but she took the time and patience to answer all of his inquiries and if she didn't know, she'd find out. He still asks me about the cats when I see him, he hasn't forgotten about them or the lady.

I signed up to volunteer at In-Sync and loving every minute of it. The staff and volunteer's truly hold the well being of all that come to live in sanctuary here. So many of the residents had horrible lives and were neglected, abused and starved before their journey brought them to In-Sync. Some of them never had an opportunity to see daylight or have the opportunity to lay in the grass and just be a carefree feline. So happy to say they have it all now and its all because of In-Sync and all of its devoted staff.

If I lived closer, I'd be volunteering more than 1 to 2 days a week. The place brings such happiness while out there, I'm loving it! It would be great if there were more laws prohibiting people from having these large and exotic animals including side shows/circus's, breeders (same as puppy mills), But until then I'm so thankful for the blessings of In-Sync, they turn the cats lives around and give them a new and happy beginning. This place Rocks and Rawrrrr's ;x

I selected Donor because although I'm the spouse of one of the volunteers, I have only personally donated funds and supplies that were needed over the past few years.

My donations may seem small in scale, but I know that they very much impact the facility and the volunteers that use them
in a large positive manner. I know this because whatever that supply item is, that's one less item that someone may need to spend the time and funds to go purchase. I've personally seen how one little thing can make a difference there and even more so, how much of an impact numerous small donations or larger donations benefit not only In-Sync, but also the wonderful animals that call it home. Every donation makes a difference and I wholly support and recommend donating whatever you can to In-Sync Exotics so that the beautiful creatures can continue to live good lives there through the efforts of the supporters and volunteers.

This is by far the best volunteer opportunity I've had here in the Dallas area. I have always loved big cats and being able to care for them is beyond my wildest dreams! What Vicki, owner, and the rest of the volunteers do is simply inspiring. They are very compassionate, loving and caring towards these magnificent animals. I will be volunteering on a regular basis to help with this great cause!

I have been a volunteer with In-Sync Exotics since 2011 and its been an incredible experience that I will never forget. I volunteer most Saturdays and spend my whole week looking forward to my day spent with the cats. I usually work with our tigers and servals and have developed a love for them that I could have never imagined. They truly mean the world to me. As any of the volunteers up there would tell you, there is no better joy than having a cat be happy to see you. Chuffs from the tigers, moans from the lions and even a hiss from a certain serval (fellow volunteers, you know who I mean) are the best sounds in the world and a day at In-Sync is not complete without them. I don't think I have ever seen a volunteer (or visitor) leave without a smile on their face.

I began volunteering at In-Sync Exotics in October 2011 and I have never seen so much dedication and love for animals as I have in my time there. Everything they do is for the cats. Rain, shine, ice or snow the dedicated staff and volunteers are out there making sure the cats and other animals have everything thing they need from a "fluffed" cozy den to enrichment to keep them busy throughout the day. The animals that come to In-Sync, for the most part, have undergone hardships and devastation like you would not believe but it is the tireless effort of the volunteers and staff that have turned so many tragedies into "happily ever afters". I encourage you to go to the website: www.insyncexotics.org and read some of the background of the cats that call In-Sync home and be sure to have a box of tissues handy because you will surely need it. I will never forget the first time one of the cats actually recognized me out of a group of people. I was visiting the refuge with my family and one of the lionesses I had worked with the week before was in the playground area. I called out to her not expecting a reaction really but to my surprise, she stopped what she was doing, walked over to the fence and stared right into my eyes and started rubbing on the fence and moaning like she was so happy to see me. There are no words that can describe what an incredible feeling it was to have a big cat walk across an enclosure just to say hello to me. I have never felt more at home and accepted as I do there because we all have a common goal, protecting and caring for our beloved animals. You are truly missing out on a treasure if you do not visit the amazing animals that call In-Sync Exotics home.

Insync exotics has been such a great place to volunteer. The compassion and service that everyone does is amazing. Being able to be there has greatly impacted my life. For me it's a place to come out and leave the hectic world behind. Getting to help these magnificent cats live a good life is so rewarding. Even though I wish that sanctuaries didn't have to exist. I'm thankful that these cats have found their forever home. A home filled full of people wanting to cater to them. I am also very honored for every week I see my name on the schedule. I've done a lot of volunteering and this by far is the best place.

Our daughter found In-Sync not to long after she relocated to Texas, and of course her Father and I had our reservations about her becoming a volunteer there. But even after our first visit to this magical habitat, we were able to breathe much easier due to the fact that we were able to see for ourselves how strictly Vicki's safety measures were enforced- without deviation, and that the volunteers are REQUIRED to act accordingly. No fuzzy instruction here! Vicki's concern for her volunteers's only rival that of her concern and passion for her children, her big kitties- as we so lovingly refer to them as.
Now a year or so down the road, we look forward to seeing our 'other' children almost (wink-wink) as much as we do our daughter when we come to town to visit! It is truly an awe inspiring time! If you are anywhere near this amazing facility, we whole heartily encourage you drop by and say hello! Having a rotten day, week? I guarantee, after a stroll through the amazing grounds and a few heart to hearts with some of their more than willing to listen residents, your outlook will be changed for the better! But,
CAUTION! This magical habitat is highly addictive! You may find yourself looking for our leader, Vicki and inquiring about how YOU can become one of the highly esteemed volunteers that have found that inner peace that only comes with the satisfaction of knowing that YOU are doing your part to help care for these now oh-so-lucky-cats who have found such a wonderful, loving home at In-Sync! And like our daughter, you too will be heard saying, "I've found my happy place!"

In-Sync Exotics has changed my life. I have been a volunteer there now for a year and a half and I treasure the time I spend there each week. I started because I love animals, cats especially, and I wanted to serve and learn more about wild cats. Mostly I help clean cat enclosures and what little I contribute, when you consider the magnitude of what it takes to run this facility, has been returned to me in the form of deep joy and lasting love. Though the sanctuary is for the resident cats, Katie the dog and our beloved Nugget who is no longer with us, it is a place where we humans can find refuge and healing too. I can honestly say my life is better because of In-Sync and I have no intentions of ever leaving!

In-Sync is an experience of the heart. These exotic animals will walk into your heart and become part of your soul. You cannot ignore them, their eyes tell you stories that cannot be written, but felt. They are unwilling victims of humanity's need for control and power. Vicki and In-Sync give these animals a last chance to live in a truly caring environment. They will experience human love many times for the first time in their lives . . . . This group is truly dedicated and will move mountains to care for these amazing creatures, 24/7/365 days a year!! ! I am a prior Board member from many years ago . . .

I first came to In-Sync over 10 years ago. I Found out about it by word of mouth. Could not believe the passion Vicky has for these cats. And sadly the stories of each and every cat that was at that facility at that time. I came to realize the word Man-kind was an oxymoran. Most of those at the facility at that time and since would be dead if it were not for her rescue efforts She literally lives, eats and sleeps (with one ear on a baby type monitors in the cage area ) cats. She did not have a large volunteer base then but as the facility grew the volunteers came as word of mouth and the internet presence grew. These volunteers share the passion and they see it in Vicky. All rescue facilities have merit, but this one has the heart of gold stolen from it's founder.
In-Sync has survived because Vicky would not say no to the cats,
she has fought long and hard for it's existence. Bless her and her troups of volunteers, donors and supporters.

I started volunteering this year, but In-Sync Exotics has already made a huge difference in my life. I don't have any children and was looking for something meaningful to fill my spare time. I didn't realize how I would be drawn to the center and the cats. It's hard to leave at the end of my shift and my mind often goes there while I'm at work. Just getting a chuff hello from one of the tigers makes my day. I go home with aches and pains from the hard work keeping these beautiful cats happy, but my heart is lifted and spirit light.
