I am an avid animal rights advocate and rely on other organizations for prompt and important news regarding all these issues. IDA is always updating pertinent topics and they are a caring and selfless organization. ... "They simply do the right thing"

I am an animal-rights advocate and am involved in hands-on activism from time-to-time. I mostly enjoy getting the word out to help raise awareness about various issues of abuse and injustice. I became aware of IDA when Scotlund Haisley was appointed president. His impressive reputation as a friend of the animals - on the FRONTLINES with the Humane society - made this a perfect union. I look forward to learning more about IDA as I continue to witness what will surely be groundbreaking events to bring IDA in the forefront of the animal rights movement.

When searching for an animal advocacy group who uses funding most efficiently, IDA was at the top of the list. We learned more about their effectiveness with animal causes as we continued to support this organization through donations and signing petitions. We share IDA with those we love in the form of gift memberships.

In Defense of Animals promotes respect for the fellow inhabitants of our planet in many ways, from promoting "Guardianship" instead of "Ownership" of other beings, to actual rescue of animals in need. There is no other organization helping animals like it and I give it my full support, in donations of time and money.

IDA is fast becoming the Voice for Animals in America. They are quick to take direct action to defend Animals in need and not shy when it comes to tackling issues that others ignore.

I have witnessed In Defense of Animals (IDA) create a lifeline for all animals in need, through rescue and progressive activism. I've handed out their publications and written letters for them for twenty years. I think of IDA as "the animal protection group that quietly dared to go where no other else has; they are able to create change without the fanfare and publicity other animal rights organizations do. (I have often thought that they do so in order for IDA's finances to be used only for necessities and the animals themselves.) With our changing landscape due to the internet and social networks, I see them truly coming in to their own. IDA is unique in its abilities, integrity, and remains a humble organization, one that I am proud to support.

Tell your story here and help others understand this charity This charity does amazing work. They work very hard to protect and save animals and have made great strides in animal rights. They have saved a lot of animals and will continue to do so. I support them, and I hope that more will continue to do so. The most recent I have seen are the monkey saved from lab testing. I strongly believe that these monkeys would have died in these labs had they not stepped in and taken them.

IDA is an amazing group of people dedicated to the plight of abused, misused, captive, and discarded animals everywhere. Their dedicated staff is easy to work with and they are always professional yet friendly and have the answers for the general public when asked. IDA is truly a professional, caring and respected animal rights organization.

IDA is an incredible non-profit working within the legal system of the USA to fight for animal rights and protection. They work tirelessly on behalf of abused and mistreated circus and zoo elephants to end the mistreatment of these amazing animals and find them homes in permanent sanctuaries. Recently, IDA rescued 55 monkeys from a lab where they were experimented on, held in teeny cages and never allowed to live as a monkey should. Those monkeys now have a permanent home in a sanctuary where they will get to live as monkeys for the first time. IDA works on so many animal issues across the board, from campaigning for whales and dolphins to ending puppy mills. I love supporting IDA and would like to see more people do so too!
