In Defense of Animals

Anyone considering donating to IDA should definitely read the article that ran Aug, 2012 in the "Animal People" publication. It is very enlightening about what is really going on the inside of IDA that very few really know. I am definitely going to donate elsewhere to a more ethical organization. http://www.animalpeoplenews.org/anp/2012/08/07/california-attorney-general-investigates-transitions-at-in-defense-of-animals/

They are nothing but animal extremists looking to make a profit off of the people who donate their hard earned money.

I have been a member of IDA for 25 years. I recieve information from many animal welfare organizations. In my opinion IDA does to the most effective work of all and without alienating the public. There accomplishments are amazing. One thing I look for in charities is how much the presidents and CEOs make. Dr. Katz receives a very modest amout, especially considering the cost of living in the Bay area. IDA is not the only animal charity that I support, but they are my favorite.

I have been following and protesting with IDA since 1987. They are an amazing organization that continues to do great work for animals. It sounds corny but there is no animal too small to be helped by this outstanding group. Dr. Katz had a vision that is ever-expanding, thank you to him!

I lost a good friend in January who loved IDA. Because of her three friends and I have become aware of the good things IDA does. We promised her, Linda Vlahos, that we would sell all her things after she passed away and donate all proceeds to IDA. She cared deeply for all animals and knowing how highly she regarded this charity was all we needed to know.

I am an animal rights activist. I receive most of the information about cruelty to animals from IDA. They are definitely a top notch nonprofit organization. I can honestly say that they do a lot of good work for the rights of animals and to better animals' lives. They are definitely going to use the resouces they receive and put it to good use.

This charity is on the spot, in the moment and wants to help. I have not only been educated by IDA, but I am sure my money, my phone calls to senators, zoos, and other animal abusers have all helped and led to the success of stopping as many bad people, doing bad things to animals as possible.

The best part is getting to watch the fruits of our labor. Seeing an elephant released into the wild, free from her torcherer. Seeing monkeys feel grass under their feet and climb a tree for the first time. Freed from the prison they have lived prior.

These people are making a real difference and telling us exactly where our money is going to. They just rescued 55 monkeys and a bunch of beagles from an Animal Testing lab and showed us every step of the way what they were doing and we get to feel like we are in on each and every story. They really care and are not so huge that we have no idea where our money is going.
