Music makes people feel good. And, museums archive and preserve the past so we remember those who went before us and their achievements and history. The Houston Blues Museum is on its way to achieving a proper home to honor he music and blues artists of Houston, TX and the Gulf Coast Region. A short list of artists that are from or lived in Houston/The Gulf Coast include: Johnny Guitar Watson, Joe Guitar Hughes, Lightnin' Hopkins, Johnny Clyde Copeland, Pete Mayes, Sipppie Wallace, Victoria Spivey, Jimmy T-99 Nelson and Johnny Winter. The HBM Board is filled with leaders who are passionate about their goal, yet mindful of their responsibilities. With sound management and the help of experts in preserving thier collection, HBM is a solid bet to fulfill their mission with the thanks and blessings of the music community at large. Funds received by HBM are used with great care for reaching their goal while providing programs to involve the community in the creation of THEIR BLUES MUSEUM.
