Programs: Hospice of palm beach county, inc. (hpbc) offers many programs and services designed to meet end of life care needs of our community. Individuals' needs involve physical, social, emotional, and spiritual care, as well as interpersonal relationships with family and close friends. Hospices care for the patient and family as a unit, and thus employ the skills and expertise of many disciplines. During the twelve month period ended december 31, 2014, hpbc admitted and served 7,215 patients. Hpbc provides care to patients who meet certain criteria under its charity care policy without charge at amounts less than its established rates. Because hpbc does not expect payment, charges are not included in the net patient service revenues. The cost of charity care provided during 2014 amounted to $1,708,000.
I love working at the Central Resale Shop for Hospice, it has been a great job. I enjoy the day by day challenges and set forth to do the best job I can. The people I work with are caring and compassionate about Hospice and also work at the best of their ability to keep up the standards of Hospice. Hospice means a dedicated work force all with one goal in mind, to help people with needs.
