The teachers here are fantastic and very good about getting the kids excited about the arts. Several kids from my daughters school go here with her and they all adore it!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

artists, dancers, photographers

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

reach out to even more children and have an even larger facility.

Hope Stone is such a nurturing place for artists of all ages. My 9 year old has enjoyed their fantastic free KIDS PLAY program (something we couldn't afford without the scholarship) and I have enjoyed drum lessons. Jane is passionate about the arts which inspires the children -- as do her productions on the big stage. They see her onstage and then get to leap up there themselves in their own productions. We love Hope Stone!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the enthusiastic feeling I get everytime I walk through the door. The entire staff is passionate about the arts -- in fact, we see them supporting arts events throughout the community. It's truly a family experience for us.

Hopestone has been a wonderful addition to our program at Krause RTC. We are a facility that serves 65 teenagers from child protective services and the juvenile department of probation. So many of our kids are gifted in the arts but have never had oppurtunities to learn and grow in this area. Hopestone helps to expand their horizons, strengthen their skills, and gives them something positive to cling to in times of struggle. What they do is described best in the words of one of our 15 year old boys who participates in dance. "At the start of class I was frustrated, but now that its over I feel my negative feelings have been erased and replaced by positive ones" Thank you for supporting our kids! I have watched numerous chldren participate in Hopestone over the past two years and each one comes a way with a gift. Some learn they have strengths and talents they wouldn't have epxected, others find positive coping skills to replace drugs and cutting

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Watching the kids try new things- step outside their comfort zones and expand their horizons.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Always kind, talented in their fields, timely and consistence. They are wonderful role models for our kids.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Reach out to even more kids and help change their lives.

Ways to make it better...

We had more time.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Funding and time

One thing I'd also say is that...

Hopestone is a blessing that everyone should have a chance to try.

Hope Stone says yes. My son has autism. He has a severe speech delay and trouble with motor skills, but he has the heart of an artist. He gets to dance, act, make music and make friends at Hope Stone because they accept everyone. There are a few children that don't have learning differences who go to school with him and are also in his dance class. I know that their getting to see him at Hope Stone makes them more accepting of him at school because they've seen him shine there.

I love Hope Center because it's like a family. Hope Center's staff and visitors bond over a common passion: dance! I loved last year's production of "Village of Waltz." It was incredible - etherial, magical, soothing, thrilling. It was magnificently choreographed and executed. I love dancing with Hope Center so much that I travel from Clear Lake to class on the weekends! Thanks for doing what you do!

The warm, inviting atmosphere, the talented and patient teachers, then great kids programs, and amazing resident dance compnay...this is one of the best organizations in Houston HANDS DOWN.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

pay dancers a living wage, tour the shows, expand the kids programs, expand the breast cancer awareness programs, get a larger studio, or build a new facility.

Hope Stone is a wonderful place to dance, act, move, laugh, and cry - you can be your true self. The organization offers classes for children and adults (even seasoned adults) as well as providing rehearsal space and housing an awesome dance company.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing the kid's perform; seeing the company perform; taking classes; and volunteering

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

How giving the people are at Hope Stone.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very friendly and helpful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Reach a lot more kids who do not have the money to experience the arts. Open more locations so more people have the opportunity to move.

I am so impressed by all that Hope Stone Inc has to offer. Creativity and positive energy overflows through music and dance. Looking in on the classes for children I could see how much fun they all are having. I had the opportunity to work with Jane and hear about the close connection she has with all of her students and their parents. Hope Stone offers great classes for adults as well. Jane is wonderful and Hope Stone is a special place.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

learning a work that Jane Weiner choreographed. I worked with Jane in rehearsals and I took dance class while I was in town.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the positive energy and outlet for creativity.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very nice and helpful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

open more studios and influence more lives.

Quality instruction reaching children who otherwise wouldn't be exposed to the arts is what I love about Hope Stone. The children are exposed to a creative environment that takes pride in teaching expression of one's self through dance. Jane's high energy level is definitely contageous!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

I always enjoy Jane's creative choreography and writing for a show. Extremely creative!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

All the volunteers and staff I've met are always willing to work together for the good of the project at hand.

Hope Stone's Kid's Play Gala had 60 kids on stage for 60 minutes to a sold-out audience! Hope Stone Rocks!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing what a difference Hope Stone makes in the lives of the kids who attend. So great to see them grow and learn to express themselves instead of abusing themselves.
