My daughter took classes at Hope Stone for nearly four years, and received a scholarship each year. She was treated with respect and love, and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Not only did her self-esteem and appreciation for art grow, but she developed an awareness of the importance of diversity. The staff are amazing, as is the leadership. I definitely recommend Hope Stone to those searching for an opportunity to unleash the "hidden artist" in us all.

Larger parking lot :) The parking can be problematic.
My four daughters ages 2 through 8 have taken creative movement classes at Hope Stone. We continue our patronage there because it's proved a great foundation for beginning dance. From the director to the instructors to the receptionist, the staff is courteous and professional.

From the age of two and on I believe children require consistent and constant discipline. I would encourage the instructors to use more discipline in the class so that a child knows he or she is not following directions.
Some of my students have been enrolled in Hope Stone's Kids Play. Each one was received with love, patience, and a gentle understanding. I wish that more parents would take the time to seek out this program, take the time to drive their child twice a week, take time to invest in the arts as a lifeline for their kids. The Hope Stone experience is unparalleled in our area.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
impact the lives of many more children, partly by training more professionals to share arts with teens who may never reach professional levels, but still benefit from the confidence they develop.

Love, love, love Hope Stone. From Jane and her awesome awesome professional company and the creative and community impact they have, to the outreach program where every kid can express themselves and grow astoundingly, safe from the crazy world...I have been involved with it all, and every moment has been life-altering in it's loveliness. I wish I could always live in the Houston area so that I could continue to work for such an amazing organization! Merci, Hope Stone! You're the best, and I'll carry you with me always!

Hope Stone loves getting its hands dirty in the community, spreading arts appreciation and fun for children of all ages. I thoroughly loved participating in their programs and continue to do so whenever I can. Their name could not be more apt - they bring hope and joy, and they have a groundedness and stability that makes everyone feel accepted and valued.

When I first started coming to Hope Stone to take dance classes, I immediatly felt welcome and accepted. As well as feeling free to grow and be challeneged in my artistic abilities. The teachers at Hope Center are very knowledgeable, professional, and each have unique teaching styles; which I think is very important for artistic growth and diversity. After being a student at Hope Center for a couple years, I then became an intern, which was a huge blessing. Not only because I was able to take classes for free in exchange, but I was also able to be a part, in a small way, of Jane's vision and mission of Hope Stone. Hope Center is not only reaching teens/adults with there amazing classes, but also at risk children, and the Houston community and beyond. It is a multifaceted organization and I am so thankful that it is a part of my life!

Hope Stone Inc's 3-fold mission has something for everyone. There are classes for adults, teens, and kids with scholarship opportunities. There are dance performances that help raise funds, promote causes, and raise the level and diversity of the arts in Houston. And finally, the arts outreach programs for at risk youth. As a frequenter of their adult classes, you can't beat the quality of their teachers paired with the laidback and welcoming vibes. Jane's really given Houston and the arts community quite a gift!

Hope Stone is a remarkable place. Upon entering the studio, the creative energy is palpable. Jane Weiner, the director,is a rare and unique talent. Not only is she an innovative choreographer, she is also an exceptionally gifted teacher and a truly generous spirit with an enduring commitment to the arts and their ability to cultivate peace and humanity in the world . Her capacity to inspire others, especially young people is tremendous. The kid's classes provide a joyful and supportive environment where kids can express themselves, explore their own creativity and collaborate with others. Everyone at Hope Stone has been wonderful. I feel very fortunate that both my daughter and I have the opportunity to learn from professional artists who are so passionate and dedicated.

Hope Stone has been a fantastic resource and an important part of my three kids' lives. Dance, dramatic expression, music, photography -- for years, at various times, my kids have grown and been immeasurably enriched with the outstanding programs provided by Jane Weiner and her dedicated staff. The cost? Zero. The value? Priceless. Houston without Hope Stone would be a city without a soul.
