Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals

Mission: Hope for paws rescues dogs and all other animals who are suffering on the streets and in shelters. Our goal is to educate people on the importance of companion animals in our society, to reduce euthanasia rates at shelters, increase adoption rates, and inspire people all over the world to take action in order to end animal abuse, neglect, and homelessness.

Programs: In the past year we were able to save hundreds of dogs and cats from a life of pain and suffering. We worked with dozens of rescues all over the united states, and by working together, we were able to get all of these animals great medical care, bring all of them to foster homes, and find each and every one of them a loving forever home. In the past year we started a spay/neuter program and got hundreds of dogs and cats fixed in an effort to reduce the overpopulation problem here in southern california. Hope for paws' rescue videos and photos continue to inspire people from all over the world, and this year they were viewed over 75 million times.

Dear Lisa and Hope for Paws,
Here are Duke’s before and after pics from his surgery last week. He is doing SO much better thanks to you and Red Rover. He is now eating well and is not in the constant pain and misery he was in with his ear.

Thank you so much for your compassion and financial help so that Duke could have his surgery. I and my neighbor Katie will be forever grateful that you were able to help pay the vet’s bill as there was no way that Katie could have afforded to have it and would have had to put Duke to sleep. He means the world to her and I believe that you saved two lives with your help. You and Hope for Paws are amazing! Please keep up the wonderful work that you do for these helpless animals! Duke before surgery, in fact, his growth became as large as a golf ball right before the surgery and he was in terrible pain.

Thank you again and again!

Best regards,
Carole Jensen

I contacted Eldad from Hope For Paws when I was trying to rescue a dog who had been abandoned and was difficult to get to because he was scared of people. Eldad was willing to drive 40 miles outside L.A. at 1:00am to rescue this dog. I couldn't get help at that time of night from anyone but Hope For Paws. From everything I've seen, they are truly dedicated.

In an industry filled with some less-than-ethical people and a lot of people who might be ethical but are just plain crazy, Eldad and team stand out for a few things: They don't get involved in the drama--they just keep their heads down and concentrate on doing the right thing to the extent that they can and they are realistic. They cannot, on their own, perform every single rescue out there....they have been great working with groups to help with rescues that others do--ie: we rescued a poor dog who needed surgery before he was able to be pulled from the shelter. Without question, they helped us to fund it and make sure that he got the care he needed.....we aren't a 501c3, but a group of neighbors trying to do the right thing. They recognized that and stepped up when other rescue organizations wouldn't or did and then took the money we raised and scammed us.

Hope for paws saved my dog's life! My poor little girl was once living in a very bad place and the neighbors called many people to save her when her other owners left her! but nobody else could do it except for amazing El-dad Hagar. She was very scared and her coat, my goodness was a mess! He was so patient with her and she trusted him and I have the photos from that first day in the car so sad. I believe she was abused and hit by cars. El-dad rushed her to his pet doctor and he paid for her surgery on her leg to be fixed. She also had many problems with her teeth and nails that had never been cut. Hope for Paws took care of my baby (before I even knew she was my Princess) Then when she was healthy and clean. The Bill Foundation was her foster parents and had her at their adoption day where I met her and the rest is history.

The Hope for paws group never asked me for ANYTHING in donations or solicited me or my husband and I did not know that they are the gang to save all the lives like the blind dog until a friend's niece sent a video on email from a news story and said "they are the ones who saved her! I knew my Princess was famous. My husband sent a check the next day. I only donate to two animal charities. Hope for Paws and The Bill Foundation. Thank you.
