HOMEBOY INDUSTRIES

Watching the growth of the young people that are part of Homeboy Industries led by Father Boyle is a amazing. Giving hope, jobs and self respect back to former gang members with education and a chance is what a Great nonprofit in my mind should do. With the restaurant, bakery, apparel company and other industries I believe in supporting this worthy group...I do!!!

This the best possible approach to gang intervention. Fr. Greg Boyle and his staff understand what is stake and exactly how to help someone redirect his/her life. I have seen countless young men and women transformed by their contact with this organization.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
they are hopeful and hard working. A great combination.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
amazing! Loving and compassionate and kept a sense of humor. A lot like the founder actually.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
make an even bigger impact on reducing gang violence and giving every gang member a real opportunity to change his/her life.
Ways to make it better...
they had even more funding to help more people!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
not enough money to meet the need for services
One thing I'd also say is that...
this organization is a model of excellence for long-lasting individual and community change. It doesn't get any better than this.
