While deployed, the support Home Front Hearts provided to my family was invaluable. Knowing that they were there gave me a sense of security that is indescribable.
Since my return from my deployment, Home Front Hearts has been there to assist the Soldiers under my command no matter the
difficulty of their circumstance or their geographic location. The service this organization provides and the quality with which it does so, should be the standard by which organizations that support the military are judged.

I provide this review without any hesitation(s) or apprehension(s). Home Front Hearts stood in the gap for myself, disabled, veteran spouse, and three children for the Christmas holiday. I was working and going to school full-time, paying the tuition difference out of pocket, and then the boiler needed to be replaced and my utility bills were piling up. I was paying for the gas and tolls to commute to work and at the same time trying to remain committed and focused on completing my graduate studies. I was at work one day and simply did a google search in an attempt to identify agencies/organizations that could help me provide a decent Christmas holiday; one that my kids were accustomed to. I knew that this past year would be difficult because my husband and I simply did not have the savings to provide them with anything they had expressed on their wish list. This is when I came across Home Front Hearts and provided them with my heart-felt plead for assistance, not only were my prayers answered but they far exceeded my wildest imagination. Randi Cairns from Home Front Hearts graciously replied to my numerous e-mails, inquiries and follow-ups and not only blessed my family with making sure that the items on my children's wish list were fulfilled but also provided giftcards to various stores for the family. Randi Cairns and Home Front Hearts made this past Christmas season the best one yet for the entire Banks family! God bless Home Front Hearts for the extraordinary work that it does; it provides an impactful and memorable service.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

expand the funding source(s) so that additional families could be assisted.

I became associated with Home front Hearts when I was having an issue. I called Randi to see what they could do to help me. Randi give me alot of suggestions and she followed up. Even though I ended up not needing to use the resources of Home front hearts, I knew that the resources were available. I have also recommeded alot of soldiers to Home Front Hearts and they have been very helpful. This is an amazing organization and they work they do with the soldiers and their families can not be duplicated.

Home front hearts has been a blessing in our lives. For christmas they received donations of toys for children and we were lucky enough to be a recipeiant. Needless to say our children had a very merry christmas and were so happy, I cried. Even when her husband was deployed Randi worked endlessly to help others who were in need never asking for anything in return, she is a wonderful person and her organization is a blessing in far too many ways to count and list.

Our family is so very grateful to Home Front Hearts for the gift card they sent us. Being a caregiver of a Wounded Warrior is no easy task and there are times when the little extra help goes a long way. We are so happy to have been helped by an organization that truly cares for our Veteran's and their families. Thanks so much Home Front Hearts and God bless you for all that you do.

Home Front Hearts is a non-profit that truly performs miracles! In contrast to experiences with many of the larger, flashier, organizations out there to whom I referred many military families while serving as a command volunteer, Home Front Hearts has delivered to each of my families referred, in the fashion most needed by the individual families. Recently, my family and I've found ourselves in need of support and assistance in a vast array of areas due to our service member's chronic, serious illness and, with all of the resources out there- Home Front Hearts stands tall as the ONLY organization who has helped us. We fall through the cracks in available programs and, as Active Duty, don't qualify for others-and for some needs, there are no programs. While taking great care to preserve our dignity, Randi has performed incredible miracles with a budget that, I'm sure, is much smaller than the larger organizations. Home Front Hearts has stepped in and helped and provided gift cards for food, gifts for my children at the holiday times, an ear when things get overwhelming, as well as referral information to other organizations that assist military families. Currently, HFH is finding ways to enable us to make necessary repairs to our home. I can not say enough positive things about this organization. Trustworthy, honest, experienced with the military family lifestyle and dedicated-- all of that, and much more, describe Home Front Hearts!

This organization and the people involved do more than provide band-aids for obstacles or financial hardships- they problem solve and help to form plans that, once the obstacle is overcome or mitigated, promote independence and the ability to move forward.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

HFH has made a huge difference in my community, by helping three families, and continuing to offer assistance to my family with necessary home repairs.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Provide funding to Home Front Hearts to permit expansion and growth- thus allowing Randi and her people to help even more people. Some people are just meant to help others- honestly and with quiet dignity. Randi C. is one of those people.

Home Front Hearts' mission is to serve the families that serve our country and that is exactly what Randi Cairns does. I am proud to say that we were one of the families that Randi helped. Randi generously supported our family when all hope was diminished. She opened her arms and heart and gently guided us to solid ground. I am the mother of two daughters and caregiver to my husband who is 100% totally and permanently disabled in the line of duty. It has been impossible for me to leave the home and go out to work. Financially we were not "making ends meet" and we desperately needed help when Randi stepped in and saved the day. After all this transpired Randi Cairns contacted me a few weeks later to offer me employment. I am proud to announce that I am now a "Pay It Forward Fellow" for Home Front Hearts. Thank you Randi for being so strong and capable and always being there for military families in need.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

not know what to say as Randi the Executive Director of Home Front Hearts is a strong mother and military spouse who understands military families and their needs. More donations for this organization would probably be the only change.

This non- profit organization was a blessing to me. In my time of need, and during my pregnancy Home Front Hearts took the initative to assist me in my financial needs takes a huge worry off my shoulders. Their assistance and help was truly a privilege and a greatly appreciated deed. Especially their Director Randi Cairns, she is a great person.

I was in San Antonio for 6 months with my warrior son who was airlifted back to the states with a brain tumor. Home Front Hearts, as well as other organizations, helped to pay my rent, car note, and utilities while I was in Texas. Otherwise, I would not have had the opportunity to stay that long with my son. He has terminal cancer. Home Front Hearts was invaluable. Randi Cairns is a wonderful and caring person. 5 star rating

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I received funding for my rent, car payment, and utilities while I was in Texas for 6 months with my ("warrior") son who is very ill with brain cancer. Randi offered to help me even since being back home. This organization cares about soldiers/families!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

They do not make you feel badly for asking for assistance!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Wonderful and caring.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Help so many "wounded and sick warriors" and their families. The time spent away from home and work is costly in more ways than one.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month
