I recently gave a gift to support the cancer research program at Holy Cross. I felt it was a fitting tribute to a lovely woman that I knew who passed away from cancer recently. Now, I enjoy passing by the wall in the lobby of the cancer center and reading my friend's name on the wall. It's another way that her legacy will live on.

As a volunteer at Holy Cross Hospital which was founded by the Sisters of Mercy, the Christ like care and compassion is is demonstrated throughout the hospital. My time is spent in the Infusion Dept. of the Cancer Center. The director, nurses, registrars, volunteers, pharmacy,and research department all provide and communicate to the patient their treatment and allow for questions to be asked and answered. The hospital also provides for nutritional teaching, chairside massage, and the therapy dog visits are welcomed with open arms. An area which is very challenging, provides hope and comfort to all.

Holy Cross Hospital provides a superior caring environment for excellent care for patients. They provide for outstanding spiritual and physical care and have a wellness program that is the envy of the area.Their community outrech progams fills the void for many senior citizens and lower income people bu providing an array of need services. It is a great place to contribute to and grow with as well as healing.
