Before going to the program I've already had a religious education from home, eventhough the program was a inspiration for me to keep doing what I was already doing and thaught me that we always have to do more showing me the meaningful of observing the religion and the importance of details that make all difference. I met wonderful girls who in general hadn't have a religious education and came to ask questions, learn and grow. The lectures were fantastic, bringing us general issues from Judaism also the importance and meaning of them. Furthermore the teachers and tutors were always opened to answer our questions and respected each one of us including our education and religious level, showing us the beauty of Judaism and the wonderful things that it have to offer and accomplish in our lives.

Being involved with Heritage Retreats for many years now has enhanced my love for the Jewish people. Watching all types of Jews come together in a non-judgemental, learning and growning environment makes you realize what is really important in life. The program allowed me to meet individuals and establish relationships that i would never have a chance to do otherwise. What could be more meaningful than woman coming together, taking time out of their busy lives to learn and discuss Torah true yedishkeit. Thank you Heritage Retreats for this life altering experience.

As a tutor on Heritage Retreats I had the opportunity to come in contact with a wide range of amazing jews from all over the country and had the pleasure of working with an incredible staff. The setting is always just right, providing a comfortable atmosphere where participants can learn more about their Jewish heritage from world renowned personalities and from a staff of tutors who are more like friends than anything else. As a tutor I have kept in touch with many of the students from the program and continue to be inspired by their willingness to grow and how they have taken what they have gained on Heritage Retreats and made an effort to apply it to their everyday lives. I can honestly say that the moments of inspiration and the relationships I have made on Heritage Retreats are ones that I cherish and will take with me for many years to come.

I went on Heritage quite a while ago, but the experience has stayed with me ever since. Never have I met such amazing down to earth people. The tutors have carried me through my journey and discovery of judaism, and were always there whenever I had questions or needed someone to talk to. Some of them have remained my closest friends till today. Heritage is doing something right, and I really hope that they can continue their much needed programming. Thank you so much for everything!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the gorgeous setting at the circle K ranch, the rich and varied programming, and the honest and open staff and tutors.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

incredible. The connection between the tutors and participants was indescribable. They were down to earth, easy to talk to, and were able to relate to each of us.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

reach the heavens and back. If Heritage had unlimited money, it could touch so many lives and impact so many more people. I owe a tremendous amount to Heritage, and I wish more people could experience what I did.

I've gained tremendously from my experiences at Heritage Retreats. My life has been inspired and enriched by the students, volunteers and teachers I've met. I was amazed at the open-mindedness and courage the students displayed in their willingness to challenge their previous convictions about Judaism. They chose to spend a summer or winter break by taking classes, often without friends, instead of taking a vacation. They didn't flinch from the difficult task of examining their lives and determining what kind of positive changes they could make. I only hope to emulate their example in some way.

It was one of the most amazing educational experiences of my life. I was exposed to a world of ideas, beliefs and concepts I have not understood and stereotyped about. Heritage Retreats not only had amazing world renowned Rabbi's speak, but also had successful and observant businessmen, lawyers and entrepreneurs.

One of the most memorable programs that I have been to -- the setting that was in the Never Neverland Ranch, located on 100 + acres, surrounded by mountains and serenity, one has the perfect atmosphere to be at one and in peace with the spiritual side of the world. The program featured some of the best Balteshuva Rabbis from all over the globe, those that were non-religious themselves once upon a time, and could address many of the issues students had in their life. Some of the most memorable lecturers included Rabbi Gershenfeld and Rabbi Lawrence Kelman. The program itself lasted for 2-3 weeks, but it was the perfect balance between Torah learning and recreational activities which included sauna, pool, chess, and other field trips. The experience at Heritage retreats will be indelible etched in my bouquet of life changing spiritual experiences.
