Very positive. The classes were insightful and detailed. The instructors were warm and caring, and provided a lot of positive motivation.

It was a shiduch between Hashem and I - Heritage Retreats made it happen by bringing me to be aware of my creator, allowing me to see my identity as Jew, as a future Jewish mother and wife, as a Jewish soul.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The amazing leaders, teachers, donors and transformational experiences that other colleagues had during my trip.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Amazing, wise, patient, the brightest lights encountered in my journey through Judaism and to Hashem.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Educate and change the lives of thousands of Jewish men and women in the US (and expand internationally to have a global outreach)to bring them their culture and their history and acquaint them with the fuel needed to make their soul/mind ONE with G-d.

Ways to make it better...

More donations.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Growth and stability of donations.

One thing I'd also say is that...

This is the best program in my life, nothing has changed me as much as this, not even investment banking!

After dating my fiance for only a few months, it come aparent we had very different religious opinions, outlooks, knowledge, needs and wants. I went on this retreat to help me learn more about Judaism and look deeper inside of me. The retreat was very difficult at times and I even wanted to leave a few times as well. Nevertheless, I stuck through it and left inspired and ready to live up to being Jewish. My fiance and I are now married with two kids,a kosher home and are working hard at becoming fully observant.

Heritage Retreats is a unique and innovative program that gives unafilliated young adults an opportunity to learn more about their roots. To me the extraordinary aspect of this Nonprofit is two-fold; the success that the tutors and educators have in developing long lasting bonds with the students, and the sheer volume of inspirational education that takes place in such a short period of time.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the pressure free approach to education but the hands-on technique in caring and ensuring the comfort of each and every student.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

uniquely devoted, caring, charismatic and easy to approach.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

continue to provide this service to a broad array of young men and woman who derive immense benefit from it!

Ways to make it better...

I could have stayed longer. Even though I was a tutor/counselor, I found the program immensly fullfiling and gained a personal sense of self-awareness.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

funding - it is difficult enough to undertake such an important task in such a limited time frame.

Heritage Retreats is a wonderful non-profit organization that gives Jewish professionals the opportunity to discover their roots. As a volunteer on one of their famous summer retreats, I was given the opportunity to connect with other people my age for a fun, meaningful, and informative getaway. We shared great times together, heard from amazing orators, and thoroughly enjoyed one another's presence. The friendships and bonds that we initiated on the retreat will last a lifetime. I truly feel that both the participants and the volunteers come out of the retreat with a much clearer view on Judaism and are inspired to be better people who are ambitious in attaining their goals and aspiriations both professionally and spiritually! Thank you for giving me the chance to be part of this incredible organization!

I didn't know much about Heritage Retreats when I decided to venture off to California, but my experience far surpassed any pre-conceived notions I ever could have imagined. The program was so well-planned that I really got to make the most out of the 7 day retreat. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in the right place. The beautiful scenery, warm camraderie and excellent teachers helped me to take a step back and re-examine my life and where I am heading and where I want to be. The amazing people I met and inspiring classes have made a tremendous impact on my life. There really aren't words to thank the staff and participants of Heritage Retreats for the wonderful experience I had and the inspiration that continues to live on.

I went to this retreat sort of at the last minuite, and to this day I am glad that I did. Not only were the staff superb in terms of their knowledge, but their interest in each atendee was genuine, and lasted long after the one week we spent together. The tutors were fantastic, as were _all_ the girls on the trip. We bonded, exchanged ideas, learnt about ourselves and each other, and got some of the best Jewish education, some in the classroom, most of it outside the classroom.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Set up retreats regionally, creating a southeastern branch, a northeastern branch, a midwestern branch, etc. It would defray the cost for those who have issues with travel expense, and it would make it more accessible since it would be a regional thing.

The ten days that I spent on the program were incredibly uplifting. Heritage allowed us to get away from the hustle-bustle of everyday life, and take some time to think. Although there were people coming from literally all over the Jewish spectrum, by the end of the program, there grew a love and respect for each other. It was a program that allowed for personal growth with the ability to choose wisely based on intellect and emotion.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

...to see a program built solely on trying to help the people it was dealing with. There were no gimmicks, nor shows, just plain-old love and help.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

...inspirational, warm and really friendly.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

give out more scholarships to help those who earnestly want to come but don't have the money.

Ways to make it better...

I would have known earlier in my life to join.

Heritage has been a bit of a life changer for me. Prior to going to the program it seems foolish to take this "Religion" seriously, it felt out of place in today's scientific environment where people strive to give simple explanations for every occurrence. Little by little and especially after Heritage it became apparent that Jewish people and the Jewish life is a little more than just what people see on the surface. The people that you meet are amazing, the Rabbi's are great! You lose nothing by spending a week at the retreat, but the gains can be life-lasting!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

not worry about where to hold their events, do more of them and serve many more people who will experience this Retreat and change their life's; hopefully for as long as they live.

Rabbi Kreitenberg does amazing work keeping this organization functioning he deserves a big Thank you! For all his work! And all the wonderful people who make it possible including the support staff and the Rabbi's whom provide their time to this program.

Heritage Retreats is an experience which can benefit Jews of all levels of religious observence. On my retreat were a few very secular Jews, a number of very religious Jews and - like me - many in the middle. The program is very respectful of everyone's preferences while maintaining the traditions such as shabbat and Kosher. It was a very educational experience which - most importantly - taught me a lot about myself and my short, medium and longer term spiritual goals. What made it easy for me to learn and absorb was that it was put out there for me to digest and not forced down my throat. Lastly (and importantly) it was a fun time playing sports, taking trips, socializing and just having some leisure away from my busy schedule as a lawyer.
