The team works together in numerous ways to find the right forever homes for homeless animals. In addition, the group is dedicated to education and to helping our community at large. My first experience with H.O.P.E. began approximately 7 years ago. I fostered a cat with the intention of adopting, providing the cat was able to withstand the non-stop activity of my mischievous 4 chihuahuas. I did not choose the cat - I asked H.O.P.E. to suggest one of their rescues, based on my home situation. They presented me with a young male who they felt had the perfect temperament for our family - and they were right! Since that time I adopted a second cat from H.O.P.E. and eventually became a steady volunteer because I was drawn to their continuous and tireless work to save dogs and cats and to make sure these animals go to a loving forever home.

I discovered H.O.P.E. a couple of years ago and was quite impressed by the commitment they have to finding homes for cats and dogs. I did some checking into the organization because I do understand that all rescue organizations are not top notch. I was pleased to find that H.O.P.E. went above and beyond my expectations. They "know" their animals - take the time to determine what environment would be best for each animal to be adopted into- i.e. an environment without kids, or an environment where they are the only animal, recognizing that each is an individual entity who comes with their particular needs. When I decided to get a cat, I asked the organization if I could foster a cat because I had dogs and wasn't sure that a cat would be comfortable in my home. They were completely agreeable and after doing a home visit and meeting my dogs, they actually chose a cat for me that they thought would fit in perfectly....and he did, so I ended up adopting him. When I adopted him, all his shots were up to date, he had been neutered and was in perfect physical condition and I learned that this is the level of care they give all their rescues. Several months later I wanted to find another cat and asked Margaret and Janis who they would suggest that would fit into our family - and again, they were spot on and I have two perfect cats for our family. H.O.P.E. volunteers know all their animals - their quirks, their likes and dislikes, and they are tireless in their efforts to find the right home. They focus on finding the right match for each animal. I appreciate that quality because too many shelters will just give an animal to anyone who will pay to adopt one, not ensuring that the animal is going to the best place possible. I discovered that they work closely with the Upland Animal Shelter and take on as many animals as they can handle. H.O.P.E. does many community fund raisers, not only to raise money for their organization, but to educate the general population about animal rescue. I found their work in the community to be invaluable and am thankful that we have such an organization in our area

HOPE animal rescue is a fabulously thorough rescue organization. They take great pride in placing animals in their forever home for the final time. It's not about moving inventory. It's about finding the right home where the dog/cat knows it's their forever family and never has to fear being on the street or in a shelter again. They work tirelessly to ensure they do best by the animal. Below are a couple of my furry family members that I adopted thru HOPE.

I've had the joy working with HOPE in many capacities: volunteer, foster mama, board member and adoptee. The more you get involved, the more you want to do. This organization and it's volunteers have the largest hearts! They continue to save animals from euthanasia and they figure out the money aspects later. They provide the best care and treatment right down to dental if required. Above and beyond is there motto. You know, hands down, that if you get a HOPE animal they are loved, well taken care of and ready for their forever home. All my furry family members have come from HOPE and I'm grateful for each one of them!

I have been a volunteer for HOPE Helping Out Pets Everyday for about seven years! I got my dog Gina back in 2003 when she was 15 months, and she is now 14 years old! I love her and so happy that when my other dog had to be put down she was available for me to adopt and take home! We are a all volunteer group of loving people who take our dogs and cats from the "kill" shelters and get them ready for their "Forever Homes"..We have fund raisers during the year to help with the upkeep of our animals as it is all through donations that we keep going! Next week on Saturday we are going to have our Annual "Walking The Runway" Fashion at the Show at the Doubletree Hotel in Claremont. These are our dogs who are up for adoption or who have been adopted and are back for the show. They are going to have the cutest outfits on to show off, along with our humans to guide them. Can't wait to see them all dressed up! Lillian Kunz

HOPE is a wonderful group of volunteers who love animals. We have a lot of dogs and cats who need a forever home who have been saved from "kill shelters"! Hope makes sure they are matched up with just the right family! You first have to fill out an application and be interviewed then they do a home visit to make sure your home and yard are just right to accomodate our furry friends. We put a lot of love into making sure our dogs and cats are ready to be adopted by just the right family! We have fund raisers to make money so we can save more from the "kill shelters" to go to loving families! My baby Gina is now 12 years old and still going strong!

The HOPE village is an amazing group of people who do whatever it takes to take care of dogs and cats that others have discarded. They see the potential in animals that others don't and persevere until they find the right match for each animal entrusted to them. If you are looking for a great place to volunteer, this group is it!

I have been with HOPE for 6 years as a volunteer and am still amazed at the care taken to make sure a dog or cat is placed in the right home even if it takes months. HOPE does not give up on any animal and has saved over 1000 animals in its ten year in business. We have adopted three dogs from them and now foster. This is a great organization.

HOPE is the best animal rescue! HOPE saves dogs and cats by rescuing them from high-kill shelters just before they are to be euthanized. Many of these animals have suffered neglect and abuse before they wound up in the shelter, so HOPE provides them needed medical care, which can be extensive and costly, as well as plenty of love and attention. When the animals have been rehabilitated, they are adopted to good homes. HOPE's screening and placement process assures that these animals will never wind up homeless again.

In addition to its rescue efforts, HOPE is also involved in sponsoring spay/neuter programs and other animal advocacy activities. HOPE is a tremendous asset to the community, doing what city and county institutions won't do.

I found HOPE 9yrs ago. I was new to the Upland area and found a dog in an alley. I had nowhere to take the dog except the local shelter. I didn't want to but had no choice. We have all heard the horror stories of the shelters. I was so worried about the dog that I searched for a local rescue that could keep an eye on him in the shelter and let me know if the dog was in any danger.
That's how I found HOPE. I contacted them and they agreed to keep an eye on the dog. It was a happy ending as the owner came for him.
I was so impressed how they really cared about a dog found in the street that I started volunteering with HOPE. And I still do!
This group has amazing people that really care!

Because I know what a wonderful organization HOPE is, I became a volunteer. Every time I have a little extra cash I donate it to HOPE because I know it will be used to save lives. There is so much more to saving a life then just getting them safe or out of the shelter when they are on death row, sometimes it's literally minutes before they are killed. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication and love to save a life. And this team at HOPE has all of that and more!! I am proud to be a part of it!

Helping Out Pets Everyday is one of the best rescues in the area. They take dogs and cats out of high-kill shelters to find a new loving home. Adoption is an application process which includes an interview and home visit to find the best match for cat or dog and adopter. Dogs and cats are given a medical disease clearance, vaccinations, microchip, spay or neutering.

H.O.P.E. (Helping Out Pets Everyday) is a unique organization that goes above and beyond for every animal in it's care. They make sure that these animals that have been abused, hurt, scared and unwanted, are placed in forever homes where the rest of their lives are lived out with love and security. I have had the opportunity to volunteer with this group for several events including the Dog-gone-walk-a-thon and have experienced first hand their love and care for their animals. An OUTSTANDING organization!

H.O.P.E. is a blessing for those animals in need. Those that have been left to die by the side of the road, those discarded by people who took them in but got bored with them, those animals that are about to be put down at the shelter... H.O.P.E. has helped get animals spayed and neutered for people who are willing to love an animal but can't afford to have it done. It's an organization that genuinely cares about the care and well being of the animal. They work hard to find forever homes for these animals who so need to be loved. It really does give these animals HOPE! Thank goodness for organizations like H.O.P.E!
