I started volunteering about 2 years ago, after we adopted our dachshund Greta. The work HOPE does saves so many animals, and it warms my heart when animals that could have potentially been euthanized find a forever home thanks to HOPE. You will not find more hardworking and compassionate volunteers anywhere, whose concerns are all about the wellbeing of the animals. Truely an amazing organization that has had an immeasurable impact on the pet community.

My name is Chris and I have been a volunteer with HOPE for may years. There is no better or more dedicated bunch of people on earth. Our goal is to make sure every animal that crosses our path is cared for & loved above all else. We give medical care to the sick & injured, food to the hungry and love to all. I feel I am the lucky one to a part of such a great and caring organization. Please stop by one Saturday at PetsMart in Upland, you can meet our animals and our crew of incredible voulenteers.

I love HOPE. Every time I look at the beautiful, loving rescue laying at my side as I read, watch tv or work at my computer I am filled with joy and thankfulness - so thankful because if not for HOPE my spunky terrier mix with the "face of a thousand expressions" would have ended up another casualty of an overcrowded, high kill shelter. Thank you, thank you, thank you HOPE!!!

I have been volunteering with HOPE (Helping Out Pets Everyday) for the past 6 years. I also adopted a dog from HOPE. HOPE really tries to match the right dog/cat with the right people. They care about their dogs and cats and the people who adopt them. HOPE also sponsors low-cost spaying and neutering for the local communities as a way to help with the overpopulation issue.

I have been volunteering with HOPE for the past 7 years. They do a wonderful job finding the right home for the HOPE dogs and cats. They also help to get local dogs and cats spayed and neutered, thus helping to solve the problem. Volunteering with HOPE has taught me a lot about dog and cat behavior.

I have been volunteering with HOPE for the last 4 years. The HOPE volunteers do a wonderful job helping people find the right match before adopting a dog or cat. If it weren't for HOPE, I would never have adopted my dog, Peyton. Peyton has taught me so much about working with shy dogs. I also really appreciate all of their work in the local community such getting local dogs and cats spayed/neutered.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

by volunteering 8 hours a week and by adopting a dog from HOPE.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Nothing in particular.

Helping Out Pets Everyday is a rescue with a heart! We believe there is a perfect home for every dog and cat. We get to know our rescues and are upfront and honest with applicants so that a good match is made, resulting in a happy dog or cat and a very happy family too. It takes time, money and dedication to do what we do.

Dedicated and selfless work done for the rescues that come into this organization. Care and love are foremost for each and every one of these animals. Much consideration is taken in finding the right match for the families that apply to adopt. All of the rescues are considered family members.

We were devastated when we lost our Aussie 6 years ago. And we were not sure we would ever want another dog. After 6 months, my husband walked into PetSmart and "found" Gracie, a 5 year old Golden mix. It was love at first sight. After some conversation, we decided to proceed with her adoption. We were impressed with the thoroughness of HOPE-the fact that they wanted to visit our home to make sure Gracie would be in a safe and loving environment. Gracie continues to be a delight.

What I love about this organization is their obvious love for what they do. The animal that is to be adopted out and their future home, is their utmost concern. They insure a great fit not only for the animal, but also for the individuals adopting. Can’t say enough wonderful things about H.O.P.E.

They are completely dedicated to being certain the animal they save and place will have the best and most permanent situation possible. They never place an animal with a family, just to get rid of it or increase their placement numbers. They fully invest in all sorts of medical intervention, including teeth cleaning if needed. They support the community with free spay and neuter clinics and community education on spay and neuter. For many years they funded a TNR (trap,neuter/release) program in the community. They provided animal oxygen masks in three sizes to all of the fire departments in the city. If there is a way to make a difference, the group is right there with tireless efforts to save lives.

HOPE does everything in its power to confirm the adoptive family and the pet are a forever fit. Oftentimes people "think" they know what they want, but rarely make the decision on a logical decision vs emotional. i.e. they want a small dog but don't recognize the tempermant with the young or exccessive exercise or emotional needs, or they want a specific breed, but fail to realize the temperment is not one they are prepared for: i.e. high energy or personal interaction required or home and property descruction insues.... they think because they have a huge yard that affords them the responsibility of walking or interacting the pet. People often lie on their applications to get what they want (and not what is ultimately the best), and then become disgruntled. I'm sad that these applicants just don't get that these critters are a permanent part of the family and not just another hobby or thing to accumulate only until inconvenient. This group sacrafices personal hours, monies, emotions for those without a voice of their own. No one likes to hear the "truth" when it is uncomfortable, but for my emotional, personal and life rewards investment, I'd rather run with this group than any other I've known to just "hand them over". My two cents anyway. Annamarie T. Porter...life long advocate for animals.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Although I advocate, volunteer and deem this organization the most worthy I've come across, they don't play "favorites", for a life is at stake. They are efficient, effective, and compassionate w/o regard to multiple adgendas that exist to thwart efforts

I love this group. I have been a volunteer for 6 years. They do a great job and finding the perfect home for the animals they save. Most of the dogs and cats come from high kill shelters, if it was not for HOPE these animals would of died. They are a blessing to the community.
