As a donor who has been able to closely follow the great work of Heartbeat, I have been blessed to hear multiple stories of how this great organization is literally making an impact internationally. Some of the places where this work goes on represent very difficult places to protect the unborn. And yet the work continues to grow. I cannot imagine a better place in which to invest yourself and your resources.

We have been blessed to provide monthly support for the work done at our local Pregnancy Decision Health Center since 1994. Because of that involvement we became aware of Heartbeat International and began to also support them on a monthly basis. We love the way Heartbeat ministers to "the least of these" (Matt. 25:40) pre-born children who would not otherwise have a voice or the words to represent themselves. We love the peaceful, loving yet compelling voice that Heartbeat brings to our national discussion about the value of choosing life. As a donor who has followed the work done by Peggy Hartshorn and her staff since the beginning, we love never being concerned that we might someday read an account about Heartbeat that disappoints us or offends our personal faith or values. In a world where true North is challenging to find, Heartbeat gets it right.

This ministry does so much to protect both the unborn who are at risk, and their mothers. I was happy to find such an organization that makes efficient use of donations and allows one to target toward specific works, such as the Option Line

I am a former director of a pregnancy center in Southern California. It was in that capacity that I first learned about Heartbeat. The training and conferences that Heartbeat provides were invaluable to our center and to me, personally. I have attended their annual conference each year since 1999 -- and through those conferences I have learned much and received so much support. My husband and I have financially supported Heartbeat for many years and do so with utmost confidence. As a former Board member of Heartbeat International, I consider Heartbeat to be a most ethical non-profit and am happy to do whatever I can to spread the word about Heartbeat

I have financially supported Heartbeat International (HBI) since 2006, I have volunteered in their office in Columbus, OH. I have put several of their manuals together for Pregnancy Centers, handwritten envelopes for mailings, marked envelopes and other task to prepare manuals for Pregnancy Centers. I was also able to go to travel to Washington, D.C. for Babies Go To Congress (BGC) and listen to the stories of clients as they spoke to Senators and Congressmen/women, it was a profoundly moving experience to hear the impact Pregnancy Centers have had in their lives, no matter their choice. I also had the honor of listening to Pregnancy Center Directors tell these same leaders of our nation how they could not do what they do for their clients without the support of HBI. I am honored to support and volunteer at HBI, they are an honorable amazing organization.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

not offer my opinion as I do not understand all of the organizational needs.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

meeting clients and Directors of Pregnancy Centers directly impacted by HBI's work.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

kind and compassionate.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help educate women that they do have choices, support and resources beyond their shock of finding themselves in a crisis pregnancy.

Ways to make it better...

nothing could have made my experience better

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Overcoming the lies put forth by Planned Parenthood's well oiled and funded machine.

One thing I'd also say is that...

there is no other staff more dedicated and compassionate concerning the choices of life.

They are committed to the pre-born humans that are in jeopardy. HI provides training and resources to life affirming pregnancy centers throughout the world so I know that my giving and support is multiplied many times over, and has a ripple effect all over the world!

It is one of the most powerful ministry I know. They work on behalf of those who can't fight for themselves, the unborn. What I really like about it is that they also provide services to the pregnant mothers, giving them a new perspective and a better outlook on the future. This is 'Love Thy neighbor' in action.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

... maybe educate enough people in this great nation of ours about how precious life in the womb is that nobody would want to abort their children anymore.

I was introduced to Heartbeat International a couple of years ago and have had the opportunity of visiting their headquarters in Ohio. I also attended their annual conference last year and found the testimonies of changed lives, dedication to life and commitment to God truly inspiring. There is an incredible consistency of purpose and compassion for people that resonates through the organization.

For many years I was the Executive Director of a pregnancy center affiliated with Heartbeat. Heartbeat conferences, consultants, and materials were a huge support for us. Heartbeat helped us to continue to grow in competence, efficiency and professionalism as we offered life-affirming services to our clients. They also work together with CareNet to offer the national Option line telephone help and referrals. This organization is well deserving of support!

I direct a web-based ministry (Abort73.com) that has donated to Heartbeat on a number of occasions. I am hugely grateful for the OptionLine website they help maintain. It is a vital, web-based resource that is at the center of the crisis pregnancy care portion of our website.
