I helped out at a pregnancy center in maryland (where PRCs have been attacked by the city council, but FAILED miserably because like Ghandi said: "First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they attack you. Then you win.") My daughter and I prepared goodie baskets for the moms and sorted out tons of baby clothes and stuff. It was the beginning of the rest of our lives working to fight THE MOST heinous crime against humanity: the KILLING of unborn HUMAN LIFE. "Everything that Hitler did was LEGAL." --- Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. PRCs ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I was a new pregnancy center director several years ago Heartbeat supplied me with excellent training, advice, and encouragement, to help me get the center up and running and to operate with excellence. Now as a volunteer here, I am highly impressed with the excellence, expertise and dedication that every employee displays, with the amazing amount of work they perform, the fantastic resources they supply to centers and their effective involvement in current issues throughout the contry,as well as initiating innovative development in new outreaches, with the limited staff they have.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

continual testimonies from affiliate centers and their staff of how grateful they are for the excellent resources and suport as well as the thousands of lives impacted and helped.

I love the heart of the people at Heartbeat, not only are they committed to helping moms and babies, they are interested in forming relationships with the community and dealing with the heart issues that we all face. Keep up the good work.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my families life. We have seen healing from the past issues in our lives, and I am very greatful.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

help them find a way to make thier materials more accessible to the public.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the people, and the freedom to serve with my family.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

faithful and of the same mind.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

reach further in to the communities and help more women realize thier worth.

Ways to make it better...

resources had not been so limited.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

finding finacial backing.

One thing I'd also say is that...

without Heartbeat women's options would be limited.

HI is dedicated to using all their incoming funds for the saving of babies and Moms. They offer a wonderful way for Churches to collect their change-which adds up-to help with their goals. They like using volunteers to save on admin. costs and put as much money into their cause. I like that about them. I know the monies are not being wasted on admin costs as they are in other non-profits.

Also several years ago, I was a patient and didn't know if I was pregnant or not. They helped me with that and were very kind.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

what I've learned.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

one of a kind and very serious about this cause.

Heartbeat International provides resources and handholding for pregnancy resource centers. They develop best practices and make them widely available. I attended a Heartbeat conference. They are extremely focused on their mission and strive to bring the tried and true methods to help their affiliates help women and their children. They are uncompromising on their values and their mission.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

How they help women, men, and children. How they bring Christians together in a common mission to love. How they set an example for helping people as a gift of love, not a government hand-out.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Watching the body of Christ come together, discover the truth, and live it with every person they meet.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Dedicated and very friendly.

I've spent the last 6 months working with Heartbeat International as a volunteer. Rarely have I seen an organization so mission-focused. Everything is questioned with, does this meet our mission of Holding Each Life Precious by supporting Pregnancy Help Centers, Maternity Homes and nonprofit Adoption services? Peggy Hartshorn, Heartbeat's president and the executive staff work tirelessly to help make abortion alternatives available to all. They are an inspiration to volunteers and staff. It is clear that our family's donations are making a big impact at a ground level. I am confident that every dollar possible is going to help, train and support those who provide pregnancy help services everyday. I can't think of a better charity to support for true impact in protecting the sanctity of life.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help establish pregnancy help services both globally and in urban centers where pregnancy help ministries are needed most. Most urban centers and most countries have little to no place for women with an unplanned pregnancy to go for help.
