Heartbeat International, Inc.
I helped out at a pregnancy center in maryland (where PRCs have been attacked by the city council, but FAILED miserably because like Ghandi said: "First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they attack you. Then you win.") My daughter and I prepared goodie baskets for the moms and sorted out tons of baby clothes and stuff. It was the beginning of the rest of our lives working to fight THE MOST heinous crime against humanity: the KILLING of unborn HUMAN LIFE. "Everything that Hitler did was LEGAL." --- Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. PRCs ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a former director of a pregnancy center in Southern California. It was in that capacity that I first learned about Heartbeat. The training and conferences that Heartbeat provides were invaluable to our center and to me, personally. I have attended their annual conference each year since 1999 -- and through those conferences I have learned much and received so much support. My husband and I have financially supported Heartbeat for many years and do so with utmost confidence. As a former Board member of Heartbeat International, I consider Heartbeat to be a most ethical non-profit and am happy to do whatever I can to spread the word about Heartbeat

When I was a new pregnancy center director several years ago Heartbeat supplied me with excellent training, advice, and encouragement, to help me get the center up and running and to operate with excellence. Now as a volunteer here, I am highly impressed with the excellence, expertise and dedication that every employee displays, with the amazing amount of work they perform, the fantastic resources they supply to centers and their effective involvement in current issues throughout the contry,as well as initiating innovative development in new outreaches, with the limited staff they have.

Heartbeat International is a superb organization run by dedicated, passionate, professional and 'called' staff and volunteers. It's goal most simply stated is to enable member ministries to excel in helping clients choose life; saving babies' and parents' lives in an honest unconditional manner. Heartbeat International often sets the pace in responding to needs nationally within the pregnancy care movement and does not waver in its firmly held Christian beliefs regardless of the consequences. Heartbeat is often called upon to represent the life movement before centers of influence nationally and abroad.

I have financially supported Heartbeat International (HBI) since 2006, I have volunteered in their office in Columbus, OH. I have put several of their manuals together for Pregnancy Centers, handwritten envelopes for mailings, marked envelopes and other task to prepare manuals for Pregnancy Centers. I was also able to go to travel to Washington, D.C. for Babies Go To Congress (BGC) and listen to the stories of clients as they spoke to Senators and Congressmen/women, it was a profoundly moving experience to hear the impact Pregnancy Centers have had in their lives, no matter their choice. I also had the honor of listening to Pregnancy Center Directors tell these same leaders of our nation how they could not do what they do for their clients without the support of HBI. I am honored to support and volunteer at HBI, they are an honorable amazing organization.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
meeting clients and Directors of Pregnancy Centers directly impacted by HBI's work.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
kind and compassionate.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
help educate women that they do have choices, support and resources beyond their shock of finding themselves in a crisis pregnancy.
Ways to make it better...
nothing could have made my experience better
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Overcoming the lies put forth by Planned Parenthood's well oiled and funded machine.
One thing I'd also say is that...
there is no other staff more dedicated and compassionate concerning the choices of life.

HI is dedicated to using all their incoming funds for the saving of babies and Moms. They offer a wonderful way for Churches to collect their change-which adds up-to help with their goals. They like using volunteers to save on admin. costs and put as much money into their cause. I like that about them. I know the monies are not being wasted on admin costs as they are in other non-profits.

I am the President of a non-profit organization / ministry and had the opportunity to participate in a Heartbeat leadership training week. The depth of the training was good and the caliber of Heartbeat's leaders is impressive. It is clearly evident that Heartbeat is wisely recruiting their people and giving quality training a priority. It should be no surprise that they are having such a positive and influential impact on our nation.

I have worked with non-profits for 25 years as a volunteer and a Women's Minister. I am so impressed with this Ministry and believe the heart of the Staff is of excellence ! Never have I seen such unity and Purpose within the ranks of not only the Staff but the Volunteers! I believe Heartbeat is truly God's Instrument to lead the Pro-Life Movement in such uncertain times....

Expand its Ministry and really promote Option Line ! I believe with this amount the Ministry could not only save the unborn child but could funnel the resources needed to expand the Pregnancy Assistance Centers in urban and rual settings.
