It is one of the most powerful ministry I know. They work on behalf of those who can't fight for themselves, the unborn. What I really like about it is that they also provide services to the pregnant mothers, giving them a new perspective and a better outlook on the future. This is 'Love Thy neighbor' in action.
The Great!
- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... ... maybe educate enough people in this great nation of ours about how precious life in the womb is that nobody would want to abort their children anymore.
Ways to make it better!
- One thing I'd also say is that... It's a shame that the life-saving ministry of Heartbeat International has to rely on our occassional donations while its main 'adversary' (planned parenthood) continously receives our tax dollars.
I was introduced to Heartbeat International a couple of years ago and have had the opportunity of visiting their headquarters in Ohio. I also attended their annual conference last year and found the testimonies of changed lives, dedication to life and commitment to God truly inspiring. There is an incredible consistency of purpose and compassion for people that resonates through the organization.

Ways to make it better!
- If I ran this organization, I would... improve their visibility so that their impact could be broader.
Heartbeat International provides resources and handholding for pregnancy resource centers. They develop best practices and make them widely available.
I attended a Heartbeat conference. They are extremely focused on their mission and strive to bring the tried and true methods to help their affiliates help women and their children.
They are uncompromising on their values and their mission.

- I've seen the results of this organization in... How they help women, men, and children. How they bring Christians together in a common mission to love. How they set an example for helping people as a gift of love, not a government hand-out.
- What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is... Watching the body of Christ come together, discover the truth, and live it with every person they meet.
- The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were... Dedicated and very friendly.
Ways to make it better!
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... Well-funded for-profit organizations that actively try to alter legislation and the leverage the court system to thwart their pro-life mission.
I was a Donor & I received support as a PRC staff member, and have donated personal funds.
Post public compliment
For many years I was the Executive Director of a pregnancy center affiliated with Heartbeat. Heartbeat conferences, consultants, and materials were a huge support for us. Heartbeat helped us to continue to grow in competence, efficiency and professionalism as we offered life-affirming services to our clients. They also work together with CareNet to offer the national Option line telephone help and referrals. This organization is well deserving of support!

- If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could... help the many struggling centers around the world to move up to the level of service enjoyed by many American communities.
Ways to make it better!
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... lack of information about abortion and the harmful effects it has on women, the reluctance of people to be involved in anything controversial, and lies perpetrated by pro-abortion organizations about pregnancy centers.
I direct a web-based ministry (Abort73.com) that has donated to Heartbeat on a number of occasions. I am hugely grateful for the OptionLine website they help maintain. It is a vital, web-based resource that is at the center of the crisis pregnancy care portion of our website.

Ways to make it better!
- In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are... convincing people to invest their time and resources on behalf of abortion-vulnerable women and children.
