After attending one of the educational workshops offered by Healings in Motion. Ms. Nicholson shared all of the warning signs of a stroke and reinforced the importance of a Certified Stroke Center. The following week one of my co-workers started speaking differently and his face was drooping. Everyone else was asking questions an d thought he was being weird, but I knew he was having a stroke. When the EMS came, I pressed them to take my co-worker to the nearest stroke enter. He was at the Stroke Center and teste within an hour. He was given Tissue Plasminogen Activator (tPA). He has been able to recover and is now baack at work. We all credit Healings in Motion for its community outreach program.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My brother had a stroke and I was devistated. I didn't know what to speak to the doctor about. Healings in Motion cared about how situation and stayed at the hospital with us and helped me find resources to help my brother, a veteran.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Healings in Motion puts on great programs every month. It is draining and hard to organize an event. Healings in Motion needs more help to make calls, help promote and advertise the events and help secure sponsors.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Healings in Motion telephones survivors and listens to their problems and pains in addition to the monthly educational programs. What I love most is the "Caring for the Caregiver" Symposium.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

All of the volunteers have been very nice and are passionate about supporting the efforts made by Healings in Motion

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Healings in Motion use money for sustainability. Healings in Motion could bring more Neurologist to the area and financially support hospitals in becoming and staffing a team for the County's 1st Certified Stroke Center, buy a fleet of vans to transport

Ways to make it better...

I have to work during the week. It would be great if more programs are offered at night.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

More coordinated volunteers are needed.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Healings in Motioin has positioned itself to be a valued organization to its community. It is the only agency that is patient driven focused on stroke and Traumatic Brain Injury. There focus is to bring in experts from all over America.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
