I have known HTB for 3 years now and I am amazed, every day, at the tireless efforts of the volunteer healers and staff that contribute to make this small nonprofit a guiding light and healing force in the breast cancer community. We all know someone who has fallen ill with this horrible disease and, hopefully, those who struggle with survival have support and love from their families and community. Not everyone is that fortunate tho and even when there are people around .. it's not the same as someone who becomes your buddy, is there on the other end of the phone, in the treatment rooms, holding your hand, healing you with Healing Touch and for no other reason than their love of you as a fellow spirit winning the toughest battle of your life. There is no compensation .. there is only the joy of knowing they are helping and healing. HTB struggles to make ends meet and all donations and support is so appreciated. They also need practioners who take the certification classes and then become available to help. This is truly one of the most amazing, dedicated group of people I have ever known and my life is better in knowing them.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the clients they have served, the practitioners they have trained, the visions and dreams they have to provide more outreach to underserved segments of our society and the efforts to find funding to continue the work.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

take advantage of every funding possibility available to make sure they received it.

More feedback...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the love and support of the people that serve, the amazing dedication of the executive director and the way I feel after spending time with them.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

angels on earth

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

create groups across the country to provide these services and to each out to segments of society .. single Mom's with no family to help them get through treatment .. to help them.

Ways to make it better...

I knew they had the funds to continue their great work ..

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

MONEY !!

One thing I'd also say is that...

HTB deserves to reach the next level of fulfilling their mission

It is with great joy that I take this opportunity to share about Healing Touch Buddies. My background is in Nursing and I have been involved with Healing Touch since 1994. I remember when Betty Ann Baker's vision for this organization came into being. This was accomplished largely due to her passion for supporting others through the healing journey of breast cancer. And it has been through her passion that she has inspired so many others to be involved in this service in whatever ways they feel called to do so. The combined heart-centered focus of many Healing Touch students and practitioners has touched the lives of so many people. The far-reaching effects of their service, is most extraordinary, touching the lives of the clients they serve, their client's families and extended families and friends. For when the opportunity for healing is co-created, its' benefits go far beyond anything we can imagine. It is my prayer that Betty Ann's dreams for this organization come to fruition with grace and ease and that she is able to continue to serve so many with the heart-centered compassion that is truly at the center of Healing Touch Buddies. With blessings of gratitude, Ilene Gottlieb, RN, CHTP

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

serve so many more people through this journey of healing in ways that are supportive, empowering, stress-reducing, pain relieving, loving and so much more.
