Reviews for Heal One World

Rating: 5 stars

I am glad I have had the opportunity to volunteer for an organization deeply involved with the surrounding community. The yoga/fitness classes are all donation based and provide access to all groups of people. If you live near check out the diverse set of programs and events that Heal One World offers.

Heal One World is such a special place. It provides a spiritual outlet, through its classes, to those who might not otherwise be able to have access.
The space is beautiful and you can feel the love the moment you walk through the door.
Amazing organization :)

Heal One World is a great place to learn about new ways of relaxation and holistic health. While volunteering, I learned quite a bit and tried various types of meditation. I also observed the great enthusiasm during yoga and zumba classes. Everyone who came to class was always very friendly and seemed to have created a community. The founder is very passionate in her work and shows interest in doing more and creating a retreat center. Although I was not aware of and did not practice any of the techniques taught here, I was still welcomed and managed to learn a lot. It is a great non-profit and more people should be aware of its great contribution to the community.

Heal one world is a great place to practice activities that nourish the soul and connect with caring, passionate and talented people ! I volunteered through the awareness film festival which, thanks to the hard work of a few courageous and motivated people helped promote films that make a difference in a beautiful and generous way ! Great work, keep it up Skye !

I serve as both a volunteer and a client at Heal One World. I have started receiving cranial sacral treatments from Skye here and already consider these to be life changing for me. I find so much admiration for Heal One World and it's role in our community and have been inspired to be present at the studio to witness the wonderful effect that the classes have. I am inspired by everything I am a part of here and look forward to participating more and more in this beautiful community.

I found Heal One World when it first opened, and watched it grow and expand to offer many services to anyone who needed them. I volunteer to help out a lot but I have experienced many of the services first hand such as yoga, Reiki healing, tai chi, Zumba, ayurvedic food demonstrations, vegan potlucks, acupuncture, the Awareness Film Festival, and many film screenings which bring attention to important world issues in need of being addressed. I absolutely love everyone who works/volunteers, and all the positive energy and love shown for all. Most importantly I have seen this non-profit organization help so many people. I highly recommend checking Heal One World out.

Heal One World is an excellent non-profit that helps many people by bringing services, fitness, fun, & knowledge to those in the public that may otherwise not have had access to it. Some of what I have experienced are the yoga classes, zumba fitness, Reiki healing classes & services, vegan potluck, awareness film documentary movie nights, talks on alternative medicine such as herbals, energy healing, and other homeopathic therapies. There is something at HOW for everyone, all to benefit your health & wellness, and anyone i have ever met here has been nothing but wonderful. I am a health care professional & I highly recommend checking out HOW!!

This was a confusing and difficult experience. The woman who runs the nonprofit was snappy and very ungrateful for her volunteers. I would not recommend this nonprofit to anyone.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Organization and better leadership

This review is from Lacey-Ann Bryant who volunteered for 6 months in 2012. She was asked to stop volunteering because she did not show up or call numerous times for events including her own event, without apology and with the reason she "overslept" or "forgot". After she was asked to cease being a volunteer, she was upset and made slanderous remarks. We wish Ms. Bryant the best with her recovery from any traumas, but when you commit to serve others you need to show up. Ms. Bryant has continued to use her time with us on her resume and has given dates and tasks beyond the scope of actual commitment.
