I have known and worked with Wynne for six years now, and I have never known anyone more devoted to the cause of helping homeless animals as a full time endeavor. This devotion has become crucial as big donors have dried up, and he sometimes does not know where next week's feed for all his rescued animals will come from. I admire Wynne's ability to "walk the tightrope" of donor support and physical help month after month, year after year.

My mother says that my first word was the name of our neighbor's dog. As soon as I started walking, every stray became my new best friend.... So, perhaps it was the most natural evolution for me to find myself being drawn to Hacienda de los Milagros. I had never heard of this little sanctuary. Yet on my very first visit, complete with the songs of burros, I felt "right at home." It was an easy transition to a deeper connection.... HDLM is a good place for the residents who live there and for those who come into contact with them. Every animal is treated with love and respect. Donors and volunteers do good work and are truly appreciated. Wynne, HDLM director, gives everything he has (and then some!) to caring for the residents. Lives are changed. HDLM is "number one" on my list of favorite organizations. I know it's making the world a better place. www.shewolfmedicine.com

Wynne is known locally as a big hearted man who is always helping people and animals in need. The downturn has hurt this area and donations have dwindled. He truly loves the critters and deserves all the support we can give.

The community service that HDLM provides is critical for these beautiful animals. The options for peace and happiness are very limited and HDLM steps up to rescue and support lives that would other wise have an uncertain future. I am greateful for the humble and humanitarian way that the voluteers and leaders at HDLM conduct themselves in their mission.

I love to see the happiness in the eyes of the equine residents of HDLM. It is a joy to experience the peace that this special place exudes. So many of the animals were under-weight, abused and/or neglected when they arrived at the Sanctuary. It is amazing to see how they respond to love, care, and healthy food. It truly is a miracle.

We visited Hacienda De Los Milagros, and it is inspiring to see the dedication and love that it takes to care for these amazing animals. We will continue to donate to this worthwhile organization.

Just months after moving to Arizona, my husband and I stumbled upon this wonderful animal sanctuary while out for a Sunday drive. We were totally taken aback by the number of rescued burros, horses, and even llamas that were living at Hacienda De Los Milagros! The caregiver, Wynn, came out to greet us and ended up spending a couple of hours with us, explaining the program and 'introducing' us to almost every creature housed there. He has named each one, and though there are over 100 animals, he knows the name of each one individually. His love and care for these animals is beyond comprehension, they are like his very own children. From that day forward we have made an effort to support the ranch in every way we can. We often have family and guests come from out of state, and the Hacienda De Los Milagros is at the top of the list for places to go and things to see here in Northern Arizona. We always stop at Costco first and purchase bags and bags of carrots for the burros and horses and sometimes we are able to get apples, which they all love. We pray for the ranch and all those who support it with their giving and the many volunteers who give their time. We too, love every animal living out their lives there, and it has been a wonderful blessing to be associated with a home that provides a lifetime of love and care to the unwanted and abused.

Prior to my experience with the Hacienda, I already heard wonderful things from volunteers. After having a personal experience with another friend who worked with Wynne as well as my own interactions with Wynne via email, I have respect and high regard for the work being done there. The Hacienda has served the needs of horses and burros, but also that of the people affected by the work and even other animals in the surrounding communities. Keep up the good work!

This sanctuary is 1 of the best rescue we have ever been involved wITH. They truley care for each animal that is there. If it wasnt for them a lot of animals would have died tragicly or been abused beypnd some peoples imagination. The love these animals receive here show hpw blessed this rescue is a.d worth every dollar donated.
