HPSO is a true blessing to the community!! When I heard about HPSO, I was amazed because here is an organization that truly helps people start over again. HPSO is the light at the end of a dark tunnel. And they don't give a hand out, they give you a hand up!!! I had the pleasure of doing a couple of fundraisers for them and it was awesome to give to such a great organization. I would highly recommend either giving of your time or financially to this organization because they really do make a difference in people's lives....like Sheila Harris with The Father's Heart Ministry is so awesome.

My experience in working with the HPSO organization has been very rewarding. The volunteers there are genuine and sincere, and offer real hope to hurting people. I specifically have been involved in the food ministry and in tutoring in the GED program. I have heard numerous clients say how great a blessing HPSO has been to them. I always leave there in a refreshed, upbeat spirit.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing people get their lives back on track, finding jobs, repairing relationships, getting education.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

teaching the GED class, and seeing the eagerness of the people to learn.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

loving, kind, genuine, and helpful. They also are serious about holding clients accountable.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand immediately into a bigger, nicer facility and become a distribution center for food and other needs.

As part of the ministry of HPSO (Helping People Start Over), I have been truly blessed by God and I have seen God do tremendous work in and through those who come through our doors. We give "a hand up" and not just "a hand-out." Ministry of love, hope, direction, and encouragement is what we do, God gives the increase. The Food Ministry, The Father's Heart; the single mothers support ministry, GED skill building classes, the clothes closet, and job and housing search assistance, these are just a few of the areas we offer assistance. We have many other programs and more to come. We love what we do, the people we meet, and having the opportunity see the faces light up with joy and eyes filled with tears - not just receiving the food and clothes, but hearing and feeling the love of Jesus Christ through our ministry staff and volunteers. This is an opportunity I would invite everyone to be a part of and to know that it is not about us, but it is about doing what God has commissioned us to do. Its about having a heart to serve others. When we have the ability to do and don't, it is then that we really become "disabled." The services we provide is as valuable as life itself, because we have seen lives saved and changed and that is awesome!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

our customers lives by receiving jobs, being able to feed, clothe, and show their family real love.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

demote myself and be sure God is first in command.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

being used by God to serve others His way.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

passionate about what they were doing.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

change the CSRA into a place known not just for the Masters Tournament, but known to belong to The Master and the people of the CSRA would be in a great place.

Ways to make it better...

I have failed to listen to God in any way on any matter.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

turning them into great opportunities!

One thing I'd also say is that...

I challenge everyone to find time to serve and give.

HPSO was established in 1998 as an outreach ministry of New Life Christian Center of Augusta, Ga. Pastors Bryan and Rhonda Matthews have a heart for "Helping People Start Over". That is the mission of HPSO to ease the burden on our government and economy by providing assistance to those in need and ultimately to help them gain the skills needed to create a better life for themselves and their families. HPSO accomplishes this through providing GEDs,Jobs for Life,Language,Computer, and single mother's classes. Please call 706-736-1001 and volunteer or donate to this all volunteer non-profit organization.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

HPSO has graduated two classes in Jobs for Life and currently has GED classes, language classses and single mothers classes. Food assistance is provided as well as the training. We have seen many lives changed for the better at HPSO.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

I have been a Board member since the founding of HPSO in 1998. I know of no greater calling that to help people.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

HPSO is Board directed and volunteer driven. All of these give of themselves everyday. If this organization had 10 million bucks,it would go world-wide helping people start over...because HPSO is a wise steward of what it is given and knows how to give.

Ways to make it better...

I am thankful to be a part and donate to such an excellent organization.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Give of myself to help others. I believe..."if you want to make a difference in your life...then make a difference in someone elses life."

One thing I'd also say is that...

Finances and volunteers. You can make a difference call HPSO at 706-736-1001 and make a difference!!!
