Mission: Gulf Restoration Network (GRN) is a 16 year old environmental advocacy organization that works to unite and empower people to protect and restore the natural resources of the Gulf of Mexico region. With an exclusive focus on the ecological health of the Gulf Coast, GRN quickly mobilized resources to respond to the 2005 hurricanes and 2010 BP oil drilling disaster. GRN continues to fight for clean flowing waters, healthy coastal areas, and vibrant offshore ecosystems that are essential to resilient communities and healthy wildlife in the region.

I'm a member of the Gulf Restoration Network, and I love their creative approach to campaigns and programs. They are always thinking outside the box when it come to how they can get the word out and motivate the public and our decision makers to take action!

They also commit to the issues and see campaigns through to the end. I know they will continue their work on BPs Oil Drilling Disaster, protecting cypress forests and sustainable fishing AND continue to evaluate the issues to find new ways to protect the Gulf.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

their continued efforts to update their members about the Gulf Oil Spill and keep us informed about the progress and challenges of the Gulf community since the Spill.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

help them hire more staff to run more public events and outreach!
