Grist keeps me up to date on green issues so easily and so enjoyably. The range of topics is perfect, in my opinion, from geen cities, to bicycles, to issues affecting organic farmers. Ask Umbra summarizes issues around topics you would not have time to investigate on your own - such as what klnd of cat litter is best for the envionment. Her recipes are terrific: even my grandchildren like the kale chips! And so often I come across an article in Grist that I know will interest someone else in my family or among my friends. It is easy to e-mail them a copy. Best of all, the writers are thoughtful and well informed. And they always cite their rpimary sources.

Grist does an outstanding job of collecting and synthesizing the major environmental newsworthy stories every day, and providing a link to the source of the story. This useful service is an excellent help in keeping current on a broad array of environmental issues.

I love Grist Magazine! I get so much of my information from them because even though it's an environmental magazine, I still think their articles are fair. They give the straight facts, then put the environmental "twist" to the article. I'm always telling people about this magazine, and I think it's catching on.
Thanks Grist!

People's response to their articles. Folks of all background are reading this magazine, or at least the article I show them. This magazine makes people aware of environmental issues, without being "in their readers face".

Provide information for volunteers and interns with different environmental organizations. I really don't have that many critiques.

I love this site. I have learned things here that I never knew - and I am fairly well read. They give me references to documents that I can go to for more information - primary resources, so I know the info is the best it can be. Plus they do it with humor which is something many history professors could learn. LOL. If I provided specific examples I'd be here all day as I've been reading them for years. Suffice it to say I appreciate their knowledgable, well researched, well written articles that help me make decisions on things going on in this world.
