This is an awesome group that never stops advocating for the Greyhounds. I adopted my wonderful Mona from them and it was a great experience. They are constantly promoting their dogs, raising funds for their care and educating about the breed. I can't imagine that any group does as much for the Greyhounds!

As a lover and appreciator of greyhounds, it is my opinion that this organization is the best. True advocates for greyhounds, they are active in social media, constantly fundraising and raising awareness of these wonderful animals. I have never heard a negative thing said about them or their volunteers. Thank you, GALT, for all that you do!

I have to say I am very much in awe at the wonderful work that GALT does for Greyhounds. They do everything possible to give greyhounds a chance in finding their forever home. I never knew how lovable and what wonderful pets Greyhounds could make. They melt your heart and want only love in return.

When we were looking for a greyhound 10 years ago we picked GALT because their adoption process was so thorough . . . right down to asking for references and lots of candid questions. They absolutely want to match the right dog with the right family. They were available for follow-up questions after adoption and throughout the years as we cycled through being newlyweds, working long hours, having kids, and then as our hound became a senior.

As some of the "early" adopters, we have watched GALT grow and grown in our love and experience with the hounds right along with them.

Of the many dog rescue organizations throughout the country I have been active in, GALT is without a doubt THE most professional, well organized and effective animal rescue I have come across. The tireless work, care and education you provide the dogs, the adopters and the general public is beyond reproach. Bravo! GALT you are loved and appreciated by hundreds of dogs whose lives you have lovingly saved and the lucky gaurdians who have taken them into their hearts and homes.

We adopted our fifth greyhound from GALT a couple of months ago. From beginning to end the process was seamless. Communication between volunteer arms was excellent. People were friendly, helpful and attentive.

I've adopted a number of greyhounds over the years from a number of
organizations over the years and this was definitely the best experience.

I look forward to further connection with this group and hopefully volunteering in the future.

Thanks GALT, for a great experience!

We adopted our first Greyhound - Angel in the summer of 2001. She was GALT's #004. We have since adopted 3 more Greyt ones.
The organization's "Army" of volunteers is amazing. There are events every week of the year and they are always run beautifully. The love that the volunteers have for
these dogs and their futures know no boundaries.
If corporations were run as well as Greyhound Adoption League of Texas, there would be a lot more successful companies. But then, the secret of GALTs success is the love and dedication of the participants for the dogs.

The Greyhound Adoption League of Texas is by far the best animal rescue organization I have ever come in contact with. I have adopted and fostered greyhounds through their organization and am continually impressed by the amazing work that they do to rehabilitate and find homes for these wonderful dogs. Unlike many other breed-specific rescues, GALT does not turn away mixed breeds or greyhounds in dire need of medical attention. In fact, they go out of their way to make sure every single dog that turns up without a home or in need of medical help get the care that they need, no matter the cost. GALT consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty to help deserving dogs, and does a wonderful job of staying in contact and planning events for GALT families. I highly recommend becoming involved with this organization and/or donating what you can!

GALT is a wonderful organization full of caring volunteers. Everyone looks out not only for the Greyhounds, but for each other - it's like adopting a family of folks with similar love for the dogs.

I especially appreciate the top-notch veterinary care that is given to each Greyhound that
comes through the program - having had personal Greyhounds with medical issues, I know first-hand how daunting the financial impact can be. But GALT just plows through, and treats every Greyhound with the same care that I would.

I have met a lot of friends (4-legged and 2-legged) since volunteering with GALT, and I appreciate having this network of caring individuals around me.

My husband and I have been sharing our home with a variety of animals more than 30 yrs then suddenly found ourselves "empty nesters" and without a dog when our daughter moved away and took the beloved family Husky with her. We had attended the NTx Irish Festival that year and met several of the representatives from GALT who introduced us to this very special breed. A month later, we began the search for our first grey. GALT was incredibly responsive and patient, diligent and informative. We knew it would be a challenge to find a "cat tolerant" grey that could fit in with our family of 15 cats (8 of which actually would share space inside the house). We found our "Princess" Lacy and have been hooked ever since. I have watched their website regularly, became a member, have donated when possible (including our old truck) and participated in their auctions. My work schedule has prevented me from attending all of the many gatherings and galas, but my heart is with them always. I have never seen such an active, caring, well-organized family of volunteers. I do so admire and respect each of them for their dedication and unbridled passion for this breed. It's no wonder they have enjoyed so much success in spreading the word and educating the public as they strive to unite hundred of sensitive and loving greys with their forever homes. Buddy and I, Pricess Lacy and Hunter (our second grey) would like to say, "Thank you , GALT, for everything you do!"

I can't imagine anything except maybe scheduling activies on more Sundays....since I work every Saturday, it was impossible to attend the Meet & Greets when we were looking for our first grey...or participate in social acitivies.
