GALT is a wonderful organization with dedicated people who work tirelessly to make the greyhounds lives better. GALT has saved many, many greyhounds, an extroidinary number the last few years in a bad economy ... somehow they find the money & resources to help these gentle dogs heal in order to enjoy a better life. My two furbabies are from GALT. WE LOVE GALT ♥

We adopted our Sweetie 4 yrs ago, from GALT. Since then we have adopted Johnny B and Barnaby. GALT is the most wonderful group of people in the Greyhound rescue organizations! They are always there for you, if you need assistance, they also are always finding ways to get everyone together for the hounds! I am a better person for being allowed to know these wonderful giving angels!

We have adopted 2 Greyhounds from GALT. Their devoted service to the Greyhounds is more than anyone would ever imagine. Their Foster program exceeds all others. I have never seen or been around such wonderful, caring thoughtful people. Everytime they have an event, such as a meet and greet or fund raiser it is a total experience of fun and devotion to the animals. They are relentless in the care and finding good decent forever homes for each and every Grey they can.

I recently adopted a rescue from GALT who was found abandoned in a trailer with 10 other greyhound and greyhound mixes. GALT does an amazing job of getting available dogs out at meet and greets, provide tons of information for new greyhound owners, and are generally warm and welcoming people. Their dedication to rescuing and rehabilitating injured and abandoned greyhounds is astounding. No greyhound is turned away, no matter what their situation is, and trust me, they get a lot of injured greyhounds that need expensive medical treatments. It's a truly amazing organization.

THE GALT is a wonderful organization striving to make a better life for these incredibly noble and soulful dogs who are basically used up and thrown away once their racing days are over. As one privy to the joys of Greyhound rescue ownership, it is just great that an organization such as GALT with all the dedicated members truly care for the hounds and find them forever homes

I met friends from GALT via FB two years ago, and admire their amazingly consistent approach toward saving abandoned, abused and runaway greyhounds. This group's motto - No grey will be turned away - is a credo, an oath that all their members honor. Their ability to raise the funds for the care of so many examples of this beautiful breed is exemplary and includes the participation of interested people from many cities and states. I live in Ohio and took part in their recent auction of items donated. It was fun, and very well-organized. GALT has so many greys that they have to call on people in their area to foster the dogs until they are adopted to forever homes. So many foster homes answer the call, and some already are fostering other greys in their care. Their updates on how their rescued groups are coming along are heartwarming and informative. The updates have in many ways made me feel close to the greys and the members. GALT represents the best of what animal rescue is meant to be. I, for one, am in awe of their many accomplishments.

The Greyhound Adoption League of Texas is a top rate non-profit volunteer organization consisting of volunteers from all industries, so they truly have a very diversified group of volunteers able to leverage business talents to manage this organization efficiently and effectively. I think what I like most is how genuine everyone involved is and they are all truly focused on the welfare of the Greyhound, which is the way it should be.

GALT is a wonderful organization that puts the greyts first and foremost in anything they do. The dogs' welfare is of upmost importance and the adoption coordinators are very well trained to ascertain whether a greyhound is the best pet for your family. My family went to several meet and greets to find our sweet Trixie. During that time, we were treated professionally, with courtesy and care. Finding the right combination of pet and family is the most important thing for these folks. They tirelessly devote themselves to raising money and taking care of these sweet dogs and generally educating the public on how wonderful greyhounds truly are.

I love this organization and applaud their mission to make sure no greyhound is ever turned away. I give much of my time and talents to GALT and will continue to do so far into the future. As a volunteer and as an adopter, I'm proud to be associated with them.

It is through Greyhound Adoption League of Texas I am able to channel my passion for greyhounds. These gentle, beautiful and loving dogs never cease to amaze me. The organization excells in providing medical care, foster homes, and love for the greys who have been given up to their care. The screening process to adopt is thorough and great care is given to placing the dogs in their forever families. Even when our foster homes are full and boarding costs become astronomical the same "above and beyond" care is given to each greyhound. Attention to detail is also demonstrated in their adoption packets where a comprehensive medical record is completed for each hound including all care that was given during their time with GALT.

I have never worked with people so passionate about their cause as Greyhound Adoption League of Texas. The professionalism in caring for the hounds far exceeded my expectations when I decided to "help out a little". We are going on our 4th adoption from GALT and have been volunteers since it's beginning. To say we are greytful to them for our fur babies would be a gross understatement.

The Greyhound Adoption League of Texas (GALT) is hands down the best greyhound rescue organization with which I have worked. I am a small animal veterinarian and have shared my home with rescued greyhounds, worked booths and special events and volunteered my time and services with a number of rescue groups over then last 16 years. I have not ever seen a group work so tirelessly to find homes for every hound. They do more rescues and adoptions and treat more broken legs and heart worm positive dogs and other medical ceases than any other group I've ever had contact with. They truly live their Otto of no grey turned away. They also do amazing fundraising and public awareness, but as you can imagine, there are always bills to pay. And hounds to save. I feel GALT should be recognized for the amazing efforts for the greyhounds.
