As the adoptive parent of an ex-racing Greyhound I can honestly say that Grey2K USA is doing incredible work helping to end the cruelty and abuse that these sweet, gentle dogs experience at race tracks around the world. They help to educate the public as to what goes on at these tracks and expose the terrible conditions that these dogs must endure. They work hard not only to educate the public but also to help pass laws to shut down this cruel industry. Thanks to their efforts there are no longer any race tracks operating in any of the New England states. My own greyhound, Isis, broke 4 bones in her left hind foot coming around the second turn of her last race. She was one of the lucky ones and was put up for adoption. Most are not this lucky and are euthanized or in some cases forgotten in their cages when they no longer make a profit. Thank you Grey2K USA for your commitment and hard work. They certainly deserve to be at the top of the nonprofit list.

Grey2K USA has been responsible to bringing awareness Worldwide to the cruel and inhumane treatment of racing Greyhounds. They have been responsible for closing numerous race tracks and will continue the fight until every track is closed.

I became familiar with Grey2kusa back in the late 90's when they were working to make dog racing illegal in Mass. I learned of the horrible treatment of these gentle dogs by this organization. They do a wonderful job educating the public about the truth behind the scenes of dog racing. Keep up the good work!

This, is an essential service for greyhound advocacy, and every country that has greyhound racing, needs one.

I've staffed several education awareness tables at different events and I am always impressed with the materials that Grey2K USA offers the public for free to better understand the abuses and inhumanity that greyhound racing does to greyhounds. Their information is based on facts that help to better understand how greyhounds are abused and how the pro-greyhound racing individuals work deceptively to try and misinform the public about what really goes on in greyhound racing.

In the 1950's there were actually articles written by veterinarians explaining why greyhounds would not make good pets. We've come a long way since then and now greyhounds are beloved companions in thousands of homes, therapy dogs, agility dogs, canine assistants, and the list goes on, all because of the efforts of organizations like the Grey 2K Education Fund. This organization works tirelessly to help the public better understand the plight of racing greyhounds, and the joy and love they can bring into adoptive homes. A racing greyhound at the end of its career has three options: death, being sold to medical research, or being adopted. Thanks to the efforts of the Grey 2K Education fund more and more rescued racers are being given a chance to live on as pets.

The GREY2K USA Education Fund helps to educate members of the public about the current situation facing greyhounds, their plight, and ways to help these magnificent dogs. What a wonderful outreach program to help spread the word about greyhounds!

Grey2K does nothing to help greyhounds. They exist only to shut down tracks, leaving hundreds of greyhounds without homes- endangering their lives. They do nothing to find homes for all these greyhounds, leaving the work to rescue groups across the country. They perpetuate myths about how the breed is managed and kept, using myths and anecdotes that are outdated and far behind the times. Anyone who believes that racing greyhounds- which sell for thousands of dollars as puppies- would be neglected and abused in some deranged attempt to enhance performance is seriously deluded. In turn, they exploit the breed in order to raise more money to keep themselves in business- a bureaucracy in search of a cause. Don't send them money; racing is dying out as it is. Economic forces will put most of the tracks under within a few years; no "help" from Grey2K is needed.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

reading their propaganda, misstatements, exaggerations, and flat-out lies about the greyhounds.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

do a thorough audit to determine where their money is going.
