I love our Playhouse! It is one of our best community assets. Most people wouldn't expect to find the quality of theater production in a town of our size. Acting is superb, partly because many actors keep coming back for more opportunities to perform, partly because the directing brings out their best! Sets, costumes, and lighting are incredible. I've lived here for over 15 years, and never miss a play if I can help it.

provide more opportunities for interns and students - pay our artistic director what she is worth - maybe take some shows out of town - lots of creativity in this organization - it would be well spent.

Grand Marais Playhouse is an integral part and essential element of our community. It has a 40-year history of giving both students and adults a wonderful opportunity to experience the joys and rewards of high-quality theater. The Playhouse could provide even more tangible and intangible benefits to the community if there were greater financial resources available.

My husband and I spend summer and part of the fall in Grand marais and imust say that the productions put on at the Playhouse are among the highlights of the season. They are well done,very well staged and acted. Even though it is a very small town the playhouse has a multitude of talent that adds to it's success. We look forward toeach production and only wish there could be more. Another admiral asset to the community the Playhouse offers ,is that each production offers one performance where the public can pay anything they like. This a great public service as it allows people toenjoy even if they are of limited means.

The Grand Marais Playhouse is a great community organization on many levels. I have created lasting friendships, challenged my mind, and became a part of something special each time I've been a part of a play. Watching the kids on stage is a joy and what they learn is immeasurable! I will continue to support the Playhouse and the great work that they do!

I have attended plays at the Grand Marais Playhouse for over 34 years. When I think of the Playhouse, I think of exciting scripts with top shelf acting. We are blessed with talented community actors and a very energetic, imaginative artistic director who guides and leads the team. Our director makes it fun to be a volunteer and is always bend-over-backwards appreciative of whatever the volunteers accomplish. Attending our local Playhouse productions are always my favorite community event!

watching both community adults and children discover they can not only read lines, but excel in acting. It is such a joy to see people in their acting debut who are exceptional on stage. Without the Playhouse, they never would have unveiled their talent

spread the joy of community theater to more areas of the state and region and hire more staff, so our Artistic Director would not need to work so many hours.
