The high quality staff, enduring stability of the school and its mission, low student teacher ratios and abundant learning support have yielded proven results for our son. The Gow boarding school environment provided the structure for educational development and his growth as a young man. More than just book learning, it is a total environment teaching the best of values and respect for others. Our son is happy and looking forward to college.

Gow is an extraordinary resource to young men who suffer from dyslexia and related language-based learning differences. The school is 100% dedicated to serving these boys; preparing them for a successful collegiate experience. In addition to their long history of innovation in curriculum development and skills based learning, Gow offers leadership positions for students in all grades (7-12), furthering the opportunity to promote growth through self-confidence and achievement. If you know of a young man struggling in academics as a result of this hereditary condition, I encourage you to visit Gow to learn more about their program.

Hello My Name is Eric Halls I am gradaute of The Gow School 1982 and spent five years at this school. I am also Canadian citzen who came from another country because the program that Gow School offered was none like anywhere else. My parents exhausted there efforts local and regionally to get me help for my learning disability. To NO avail. My parents heard about the school through my parents friends and the rest went from there. Parents who don't know about THE GOW SCHOOL lose hope for there child. When I entered the school my parents had lost hope in other school systems. And after my first year the great grade results and immediate change in teaching methods offered so much hope for the future. School became like our own world, because we are all the same and suffer the same.Sometimes that very thing brings hope and then when the results come in showing improvements makes the hope became a reality. From that things like SELF ESTEEM ,UNDERSTANDING and CHARACTER BUILDING grows from that. And thats just as important as well, and we sometimes underestimate in the whole GRAND scheme of things. By the way I know because went through and I saw it come out of my own daughter!! I did finish there and did graduate from a world rowned University in Canada and proud of that, and THE GOW SCHOOL helped me achieve that. My own daughter Rosalie Halls was diagnosed with learning disability as child and has had to work hard and live through what I had. The school has summer program for girls and boys, this summer she was accepted and attendant it. She had tough time in the first two days, but again the atmosphere, the teachers, the volunteers the programs made her feel special and very welcome. She cried when she had to leave and to make it better she was ward the distisgushed honor as outstanding camper for the value's that THE GOW SCHOOL instilled on her from the first day!! Also I was not able to afford the whole summer BURSARY and she was a grant towards her schooling. I have been associated with THE GOW SCHOOL that has nothing but caring and giving attitude towards there education and well being and feelings of there students, parents and all the staff. That feeling is portrayed the minute you drive in to the school and when meet any one there. The school is a gem that should be cultivated and honored what it does for children. I hope if anyone is looking to put donation of any size towards a most worth place that they would seriously think about the THE GOW SCHOOL " Children are our future and thats investment we all should be concerned about " From Eric Halls Graduate of the Gow School " 1982 " and daughter who suffers the same and attendant THE GOW SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAM. P.S. I am proud that I still invovled in the school to this day!

Our son wanted to "go to a school where everyone is like me." The Gow School is large enough for boys to compete athletically on a team against other schools, small enough for students to receive the academic attention and guidance they need. Our son's self esteem was enhanced, and he bacame a leader at Gow. He graduated from college in four years and earned a Master's degree. The Gow School truly changed all of our lives for the better.

Our son liked Gow the minute he stepped on the campus. Everyone looks similar, in their kakki slacks and blue blazers. He felt he fit in, for the first time. The discipline at Gow was excellent, and teachers and administrators are honest with parents. Our son felt a great sense of accomplishment on graduating from The Gow School and went on to graduate from college in 4 years.

I can't think of anything I would change!
