Programs: Goodwill of Central Arizona is dedicated to promoting change within the community through the power of work. Goodwill operates over 36 social services programs and a publicly funded charter high school as part of our Service Initiative. The programs range from intensive case management and job skills training programs to Career Center services at multiple locations throughout our territory. The Service Initiative provides services to at-risk youth; disadvantaged adults; people with disabilities; and seniors returning to the work force. Program offerings include: conveniently located Career Centers; Workforce Investment Act (WIA) services; Vocational Rehabilitation programs; computer skills training; and customized job skills training. In addition, Goodwill performs janitorial and landscaping services through state and federal set-aside contracts and is a NISH agency. The Retail Initiative generates funds from the thrift store operations to support the mission of Goodwill. Ninety cents of every dollar raised by Goodwill of Central Arizona is used to fund services throughout central Arizona.

I have worked for the organization for 5 years. I believe that we have come a long way. With the economy the way it is now more people are using our career centers and shopping in our stores. Not many people realize how many programs we actually have. We even have 2 charter schools to give kids a second chance and to make something of themselves. Some people think we should be cheaper, but if you think about it atleast the money you spend is going towards something good. The money is actually helping people better themselves instead of going in the big man's pocket.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

knowing that 99% of every dollar goes back into the community to better the lives of others.

I have worked with Goodwill for many years and I have found them to be very professional, hardworking and socially responsible. I enjoy working with them and they are very good at helping the community.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

many ways. I have donated to their cause and I helped them expand their operation.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

their positive work ethic.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very helpfull and really enjoy their work.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help many more people and communities.
