Guitars in the Classroom serves teachers around the country and their students. We work very hard on programs and do not have a large staff to help us raise awareness of our work or funds from people who have the bandwidth and motivation to give outside the schools where we work. This organization creates meaningful, user friendly, fair, and attractive ways for non-profits to get our messages out to the public. It brings givers to the ways they can make a difference, and helps those of us in the trenches connect them much better. GITC loves having this support on a daily basis! Great job, Global Giving staff!

Our organization participates in GlobalGiving's platform and have been very impressed with them - not only in their services, but in their care and concern for partner non-profits, and their concern with only working with partners who provide transparency. They also have great training!

VNDF is a small U.S.-based nonprofit that works to raise awareness and funds for Verbo Ministries in Nicaragua. We submitted a project to help raise funds for Colegio Verbo in Veracruz, Nicaragua and enable more students and orphans from the local community to enroll in and stay in school. Global Giving's tools and networked relationships helped us in raising nearly $20,000 in a little over a year for the project and significantly expanding our donor base. By working with Global Giving our project was featured on their corporate partners' employee philanthropic websites which provided funds and awareness we never could have gotten on our own. We get regular training on GG tools and social media fundraising techniques. They are a very valuable fundraising partner!

Global Giving is easy to use and has really helped us (Merlin USA) get our message out to 1000s more people who may be interested in our emergency relief, health care and training work. The staff have always been responsive to comments on how to improve the services offered and create new ideas to help raise even more funds (2011 saw the introduction of fundraising via SMS and an improved gift card process. There are regular training sessions and fundraising initiatives on offer, so that even the newest fundraisers can use Global Giving's website as a great fund and awareness raising tool.

Global Giving was extremely helpful in facilitating international fund-raising and training for my organization, Pintando Caminos, https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/better-life-than-war-and-poverty-for-bogota-youth/ . In Colombia receiving international donations through credit card is very difficult, but Global Giving made that possible and also provided support and trainings for online fund-raising campaigns.

Our decision to become a part of the GlobalGiving family has been a great one. They have opened doors for us to donors in other markets we did not have the resources to access ourselves. What is really great about what they do is that it is not just a platform but a family that shares experiences, best practices and resources. The training has been a really good resources for us.We would recommend that any organization that is wondering 'where to now or what's next?' should be looking at the GlobalGiving Family to support the needs of those they serve and their organization.

This is a great online platform for charities. Unlike many others that take an admin fee and leave all the legwork to the charity, Global Giving actively promotes itself and its projects helping attract new donors. The training in how to improve online fundraising communications is also excellent.

Mann Deshi Foundation started its operation in 1996 in remote areas of Maharashtra and Karnataka. Women of Mann Deshi are the clients who are engage in agricultural activities. Mann Deshi women require daily saving facility, it is not affordable for them to come to bank daily. Mann Deshi is the first bank to provide door step banking. Mann Deshi not only provides the banking services but also see that women control their finance. In 2005 Mann Deshi started B-school for rural women. Mann Deshi with its comprehensive approach provides financial services and business training. Today Mann Deshi has been able to create +27000 successful entrepreneurs.
What makes the Mann Deshi B-School unique is that it lays no educational or age criterion for enrolment; has “any-day admissions” and offers courses ranging from two days to three months with fees from Rs.25 to Rs.1,200. Founded in December 2006, it encourages and empowers rural women by offering courses to help them run independent enterprises as vendors, screen printers, photo-laminators, efficient goat de-wormers, bag-makers and computer operators.
Thus, an unlettered vegetable hawker like Aruna Gaikwad now uses a cellphone to source supplies from the wholesale market at Karad 100 km away to make profits at the weekly market in Vaduj. Vanita Pise is yet another example who has set up a successful milk vending business with the help of B-school. She uses paper cup making machines for her operation and earns about Rs.10000 per month. (In 2006, Pise received the CII Bharti Woman Exemplar Award by PM Manmohan Singh).
Since December 2006, nearly 40000 women have taken courses here to launch micro-business like selling cell phone recharge coupons, increasing fat content in milk from mulch cattle or selling pav bhaji and Chinese food. Women have also harnessed mobiles to manage—and in some cases, expand—their client base, grow their businesses, and earn higher revenues. The ability to use mobile phones has also reduced women’s need to travel, thus saving them considerable time in managing their businesses and reconciling their work, personal, and family commitments. As they oversee growing enterprises, many Mann Deshi clients experience increased self-confidence and a greater sense of empowerment.
Also Mann Deshi provides personality development courses and implements bicycle program to young girls so that they can continue their higher education.
Reached out +100,000 rural women (saving account holders)
Graduated + 39000 women through B-school and out of those 23,400 women have become successful business woman and 80% took loan from Mann Deshi Bank.
More than 5000 women have been able to get the share in the household property
Launched the E-Card system, a more efficient, and accessible and secure means to deposit and withdraw money and view transaction history of Mann Deshi client
And all this will not be possible without the support of our partners like Global Giving.

Global Giving is simple and easy to use. It offers us an effective platform to promote the awareness of our organization, the programs we implement and the children we serve. Our organization has used Global Giving for about 1 year. The results achieved in the building awareness and raising funds is something that we, if asked to do it ourselves, could not have done.
