GLOBAL INHERITANCE INC Reviews
I'm impressed by the light-hearted spirit, dedication to alternative energy education, and friendly, talented staff at Global Inheritance. While the organization is based in LA, its programs and initiatives extend nationwide. As a volunteer, I helped at G.I.'s tent at two music festivals in DC and San Francisco, working directly with staff members to set up equipment and to speak with concert-goers about G.I.'s work. It was a great opportunity to spread the word, interact with people face-to-face, and learn more about renewable energy. Beyond all of their critical work, it's clear that G.I. values its volunteers and tries to make the experience valuable and fun. I definitely plan on volunteering again!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
An educational and enjoyable volunteer experience that has inspired me to rethink my energy consumption.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Provide more literature about the organization, its programs and causes that volunteers and interested individuals can peruse and take home from the event. As a volunteer, I wanted to educate people about the specifics of GI's initiatives and more generally about energy consumption, but because I lack a background in those areas, I was unable to answer many of their questions. Educational brochures might help in that regard.

Volunteering for GI can be a lot of work-- music festivals are marathon events, after all-- but I felt that it was definitely worth it. I felt a great sense of accomplishment after each volunteer experience.
