I have served on the Board of several non-profits, but never before have I been part of an organization as well run as Gleaners Community Food Bank. I marvel at how the Gleaners team leverages 20,000 volunteers to distribute over 30 million pounds of food a year. There are less than 50 employees, yet Gleaners is at the forefront of countless programs in our community to help alleviate hunger and improve nutrition. The organization is filled with individuals possessing extraordinary skills and deep commitment to improving the lives of those in need. I am consistently awed and humbled by their accomplishments.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The results are so concrete. 95 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to the mission of acquiring and distributing food.
