My wife and I started supporting GIBTK about 8 years ago. At first we felt this organization would give immediate help to needy children of Vietnam, preventing hunger, offering needed corrective surgeries and building safe homes. But this organization goes far beyond triage and stands out from others by building long term relationships. Children are not only given needed medical and nutritional support but are shown love and concern for their future as leaders in a ever changing Vietnam. I had the opportunity to travel to Vietnam in 2006 with Robert Kalatschan and see first hand the life changing work being done there by GIBTK. We followed up with children who had previous orthopedic and life saving surgeries, visited families who had new homes built for them and stayed in touch with children at the orphanages. I'll never forget the kids lining up for hugs at the orphanages. Recently, my wife and I have the privilege of supporting a young man in his college studies. We are proud to be a part of Giving It Back To Kids.

After serving in Vietnam in 1969, I went back two years ago and hooked up with GITBK in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh), Da Nang, and Hanoi. I saw hundreds of children and families served by an organization that has minimal adminstrative overhead and a Director and wife who think this is Gods "calling" for them. Houses for despartely poor; wheelcharids for the crippled, open heard operations for children with no chance, kindergartens and the "works" where no schools existed before., bicycles, blankeys and hugs for every child craving affection. Robert Kalatchan gets way ahead of himself sometimes because he finds it hard to say no. I would to.

Gear it up a notch with an advisory board and greeter reach into the charitable world of giving.

It was exciting to see children's lives changed through life changing surgieries, meet the children in the orphanages, and help provide wheelchairs for people who had lived crawling on the ground their entire lives. Having traveled with them 3 times and had numerous people from our church also travel with them and having made sizeable donations, I can vouch for their integrity, passion and effectiveness.

GIving It Back To Kids focuses on the children of Vietnam, although it helped transform my life - a middle aged man from Southern California.

For years I received emails on the great work being done by GIBTK's. It sounded great but I was disconnected... attempting to assess their
effectiveness from the safety of a nice office and comfortable life. So I took the opportunity to join them on a trip to Vietnam, which changed everything.

Although well traveled, this trip stripped me of my agenda and placed me square into an endeavor that ventured into the toughest places to touch those with the greatest need. There was nothing institutional or disconnected about it. Everything about GIBTK's demonstrates a loving, personal heart that deeply cares.

This trip recalibrated my life. After seeing the difference a few can make to so many, returning to the same of life of business pursuits lost its luster.

Thank you to Giving It Back To Kids for the invaluable work that you do!

In my opinion traveling will broaden anyone's mind; including traveling to a third world country. Traveling to Vietnam as a 14 year old brought perspective to my life because growing up in America people tend to take things for granted. I would like to thank Robert and GIBTK for making me appreciate what I have.

The thing that still stands out in my mind four years later is our visit to Go Vop orphanage. Go Vop is an orphanage that has a lot of kids with medical issues. For example we visited and prayed for the room of children suffering from hydroencephalitis. I remember how so many of the kids eyes light up when we walked into the room. They would hold onto us so we couldn't leave.

Nothing. It is a great organization with great people.

I am a 16 year old high school student and was fortunate enough to go to Vietnam with this amazing non-profit organization. Robert, from Giving it Back to Kids gave me the opportunity to carry out my Eagle Scout Project in Vietnam where I assembled and distributed 50 wheelchairs to the community. Even two of the children from the orphange helped out and had such a great time.

On our mission we spent the night at an orphanage where we played soccer, frisbee, jump rope, and even some of the games the kids had made up themselves. The children at the orphange really brought me to realize how lucky I am to be living in a place where I do not have to worry if I will be eating later that day or become terribly sick.

Overall my experience in Vietnam was life changing. Giving it Back to Kids is a wonderful organization and has helped many children by paying for the heart and orthopedic surguries they cannot afford. I would love to go back to Vietnam and see all of the kids again because after seeing the tears in their eyes as we were leaving, there is no way how i could not go back.

I personally experienced the results of this organization while interviewing one of the recipients during the distribution of the wheel chairs. The look on this man's face told me how greatful he was to be able to go places without having to rely on someone else. These wheel chairs had given him mobility, and that is one of the greatest gifts you could give somebody. Next time, I plan on bringing more of my friends to Vietnam so they can experience the amazing things Giving it Back to Kids has to offer.

My name is Eric Bezko and my company is Global Research for Charitable Donors. Since my business is doing due diliegence of ministries and NGO's, friends often tell me about ministries that they heard or like and ask me to do due diligence for them. After revewing Giving It Back to Kids IRS 990 forms, (NO U.S.A. office overhead etc) meeting with the founder, and also getting feedback from 2 people I personally know that went to Vietnam with the ministry, I personally give them a 9.5 on a 10 scale of how a ministry should be run.

As a volunteer, I've witnessed firsthand the impact that Giving it Back to Kids has in Vietnam. The programs include funding orthopedic, heart and eye surgeries, orphanage support, disaster relief, housing, college tuition support, an unwed mothers' home (where the women can continue their education and raise their babies), and wheelchair distributions through partnership with Free Wheelchair Mission. GIBTK is gaining even more favor there as the programs become well known by the communities and local authorities for the services they provide through the donations, hearts and actions of supporters.

Results were evident in visiting the orphanages, giving the wheelchairs, and visiting families who lived in shacks and were being considered for a home with a real foundation and walls. I got to personally meet young ladies who had received prior surgeries to correct deformities and can now walk.

Giving it Back to Kids should move Vietnam closer to our west coast so travel there would be easier!

I took a missions trip to Vietnam with Robert and Dorothea last year. I had no idea how big Giving It Back To Kids has gotten, until I saw the miracles happen before my eyes in Vietnam. The moment that touched me the most was seeing a young boy after a year of getting heart surgery. I was told a brief backround on some of the children, and was told the child couldn't even put his head up. His mother was stressed out and doubtful of anything we could do for her son. After an hour of prayer, a sponsor, and a ton of more prayer, and year later, I could have sworn there was never anything wrong with that child. That boy was healthy and playing with other teens running around the room. The translators explained to the hopeful children needing heart surgeries that this boy had no energy a year ago. Now look at him. I was impressed and touched. The boy's mom was positive and encouraged others, telling them that she was once in their shoes. It was just one of my amazing experiences from Giving It Back to Kids. My life has been changed forever.

I met Robert through a good friend. I visited his website and impressed the works that they have done for the poor kids in Vietnam. I invited Robert and Dorothea to our church to share their ministry. We were blessed to listen to what they shared about the works they did, and we supported financially in occasions. We trusted their works and their hearts for God. We continue to pray for their ministry.

We read Robert's updates every time he went to Viet Nam. We know the ministry is getting bigger and God opens more doors for them to do the His works.

Pray and support more financials.
