I've been a Girl Scout for 9 years. I started out as a Daisy in Rhode Island,
moved to North Carolina where I was a Brownie to Junior. Another move to Ohio where i was Junior and bridged to a cadette. A year overseas I was a Juliette and now I'm back in North Carolina as a cadette. In Girl Scouts I have made lots of friends and done a lot of fun projects. I have a core of 5 friends who have all been in scouts since 1st grade. We are have saved for a special trip for 3 years and are going to NYC to bridge ( move to the next level) across the Brooklyn Bridge.
I've also been able and animals while doing community service. One community service project we did was to help the local animal shelter, we raised money to buy toys and took care of the dogs at the shelter.
I enjoy being a Girl Scout and will continue next year!

We joined the Hornest Council troop 662 in 2008. Being new to the city we really enjoyed our time with troop. Despite moving and changing schools three times we have stayed with troop 662.

My daughter started with Daisy Scouts in 2008 and is currently a Brownie Scout. The fellowship with the other girls and the mentorship of the troop leader are invaluable to her development into a strong goal oriented woman. It is evident that the training that the Girl Scouts Hornets Nest Council provides to the troop leaders truly prepares the leaders to facilitate great events and programs to the young girls. I highly recommend this Council as the Girl Scout Council to be in.
